Shaun Chetwyn Protyre Motorsport FOREWORD We welcome you all to the Protyre-Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship 2019, and enter the year with a continuing title sponsor, for which we are extremely grateful and thank Protyre for their support. Now that we have concluded our first year, following the decision to take a sabbatical in 2017, the championship will continue to work towards becoming the best sealed surface championship in the UK. We are able to offer 7 quality rounds from 6 events that we hope will test the skills of both driver and codriver. Live Streaming with Special Stage, and commentary from Howard Davies and guests, has proved to be a good and effective addition to the championship and we will continue to deliver live action to reach a worldwide audience, with some new features in the production. Article 1. Announcement The BTRDA Ltd will organise the Protyre-Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship 2019, which will be co-ordinated by Jane Evans and sponsored by Protyre. Permit No TBC has been issued by Motorsport UK Ltd. Article 2. Jurisdiction The event will be held under the General Regulations of Motorsport UK (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA), these Championship Regulations, and any written instruction issued. Article 3. Eligibility The Protyre-Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship 2019 is open to all fully paid-up members of the BTRDA who are registered in the championship, having a Competition Licence of a grade appropriate to each event issued by Motorsport UK, or by Motorsport Ireland. Also, any professional competitors and drivers holding a licence issued by any EU country showing an EU Flag, being fully paid up members of the BTRDA and registered in the championship, shall be entitled to take part and score points in the Championship. Article 4 Registration The registration fee is 120 for both members of the crew when registering together, or 70 for Drivers and 60 for Co- drivers registering separately. This registration fee includes full membership of the BTRDA which is an invited club on each event. Series registration and BTRDA membership is free to new members under 25 for their first year of registration. Membership can be done on-line at www.btrdamembership.com. Acceptance for the series will be acknowledged by the issue of a registration card which must be produced at documentation on each event. Registration will open on the publication of these regulations and close and at the conclusion of event signing-on of the Carryduff Forklift Down Rally. Prospective competitors should check their own sponsorship and signwriting arrangements before deciding to enter the championship. Competitors MUST display the series decals as specified on every qualifying event. These include a compendium sponsor panel on each side, sponsors bumper decal on each side, and sponsors windscreen or bonnet decal. If Championship decals are not displayed as required at the start of and during an event, the competitor will be deemed ineligible for the allocation of championship points for that event, which will not be re allocated to the next registered competitor, and will not be considered for inclusion in the live streaming. Decals must not be modified by altering logo sizes or colours. They can be trimmed where exceptionally necessary to fit the vehicle but this must be approved in writing by the eligibility scrutineers or series coordinator. A Compendium Sponsors panel on the leading edge of the front door on each side, approx. 225mm x 350mm. B Sponsors bumper decal on each side, approx. 150mm x 150mm. C Sponsors windscreen (at top of screen) or bonnet (at leading edge) decals, approx. 115mm x 1000mm.

c c A B Once a competitor has registered for the series it is not possible to de-register, even if the series decals are removed. ALL THE ABOVE DECALS MUST BE FIXED IN THE CORRECT POSITION BEFORE THE CAR IS PRESENTED FOR SCRUTINEERING. In order to be eligible to score points, registered co-drivers wishing to contest championship qualifying events with non-registered drivers must ensure that the competing car has the correct championship decals in place. Article 5 Enforcement of Regulations The championship is subject to the General Competition rules of the BTRDA Ltd and the Motorsport UK. Any query regarding these regulations or the running of the Protyre-Motorsports UK Asphalt Rally Championship 2019 must be referred to BTRDA Ltd via the championship co-ordinator. Any subsequent protest must be referred in writing to the BTRDA Panel of Stewards, via the BTRDA Ltd secretary within the time limits in accordance with the Motorsport UK Yearbook together with the appropriate fee. (Competition Fees Appendix 1). The BTRDA Ltd panel of stewards will comprise any three from, Mr Andrew Kellitt, Mr Keith Ashley, Mr Ryland James, Mr John Arnold. In the event of a variance between these asphalt rally championship regulations and BTRDA Ltd championship rulebook, these rally championship regulations take precedence. Article 6. Vehicle Classes and Eligibility Cars conforming to FIA International Group N Regulations Class N2 over 1400cc up to and including 1600cc Class N3 over 1600cc up to and including 2000cc Class N4 over 2000cc Cars complying with 2019 Motorsport UK technical regulations Class B10 over 1400 cc up to and including 1600cc two wheel drive cars, inc R1 Class B11 over 1600cc up to and including 2000cc two wheel drive cars Class B12 over 1600cc up to and including 2000cc 4 cylinder 8 valve (normally aspirated) Class B13 over 2000 two wheel drive cars Class B14 over 2000 four wheel drive non WRC cars, inc R4, as per FIA AppJ Art 260 and any 4 wheel drive car not complying with Class B14 or Class R5 Class B15 Homologated or Non homologated current or former WRC cars. A derivative of WRC or R5 not following FIA app J Art 261 (R5+)

Cars complying with 2019 Technical Regulations R2 - As per FIA App J Art 260 R3 - As per FIA App J Art 260 R5 - Homologated and non homologated cars built to FIA App J Art 261 inc S2000 and RRC ( (Homologated Specification) All competing vehicles must comply with the 2019 Motorsport UK safety and technical regulations for special stage rallies. Homologation papers for cars in classes N1 through to A8 + R1 R5 must be carried in the rally car and be readily available for inspection at all times. The engine capacity of all turbocharged and rotary engine cars is deemed to be increased by a factor of 1.7; forced induction rotary engines equivalence is 2.89 (1.7 x 1.7); rotary engines are allowed a maximum of 2 rotors and will be considered equivalent to 4 valves per cylinder petrol engines in respect of the maximum engine capacity including the above mentioned equivalency factors and the appropriate class must be entered. Historic Classes The Historic classes are open to all historic category 1,2,3,4 rally cars that comply with the eligibility requirements set out in R49 of the 2019 Motorsport UK Yearbook. All vehicles must have a historic rally vehicle identity form available for inspection and must use fuel complying with 2019 Motorsport UK Technical Regulations. Category 3 & 4 cars must also present the appropriate homologation form, and any other documentation listed in the 2019 Motorsport UK yearbook. Only period modifications used in rallying on the particular make and model of vehicle are permitted. Historic Rally Cars that comply with FIA Appendix K regulations may score points in Classes H1,H2 or H3 in the corresponding category periods and engine size/configurations. These cars must have a valid FIA Historic Technical Passport (FIA HTP) Class H1 All Historic Category 1 cars, Category 2 and 3 cars up to 1600cc, and Category 4 cars up to 1400cc Class H2 Historic Category 2 and 3 cars with single cam engines over 1600cc, and Category 4 cars up to 1600cc. Class H3 Historic Category 2 and 3 cars with multi cam engines over 1600cc, and Category 4 over 1600cc 1400 Classes All competing cars must comply with the 2019 MSA Safety and Technical Regulations. Class 1400c Cars up to 1400cc with a. 8 valve engines b. Engines with more than 8 valves that retain the standard fuel and inlet manifold systems Remote reservoir suspension systems are not permitted unless fitted as standard or homologated. Class 1400S All other cars up to and including 1400cc All cars (except FIA homologated cars) must comply with the following requirements No electronics are allowed in transmissions/differentials/suspension or brake parts (except ABS if originally fitted) A maximum of 5 forward gears of standard H pattern change unless originally fitted with 6 gears as standard. No sequential gearboxes or gear-change kits allowed unless fitted as standard Extended wheel arches, boot lids, tail gates, bonnets, side and rear windows and front and rear bumpers may be made of composite materials. All other panels must be made of the original manufacturer s material. Bodywork should be presented at pre-event scrutineering in good condition. A DRIVER OR CO-DRIVER WHO CHANGES TO A DIFFERENT CLASS TO THAT WHEN THEY REGISTERED MUST NOTIFY THE CHAMPIONSHIP CO-ORDINATOR PRIOR TO STARTING AN EVENT UNDER THE NEW CLASS

Any vehicles used by registered contenders may be subject to random eligibility and capacity checks throughout the year. These checks will be carried out by the series scrutineers and/ or members of the Motorsport UK technical commission who shall be considered Judges of Fact in matters of eligibility. In the event of a car being found ineligible for any reason, then the penalties specified in Motorsport UK Regulations (C.3.5.3) shall apply. The competitor will be responsible for any costs they incur as result of eligibility checking, whether found eligible or otherwise. The series organisers reserve the right to reclassify any vehicle if they consider it appropriate to do so. Article 7 Scoring The Protyre-Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship 2019 provides the best selection of sealed surface events throughout the UK and overseas and the final points tables will be based on competitors best 5 scores. This applies to all classes. If through force majeure any of the qualifying rounds cannot take place the BTRDA reserves the right to: a) include the event on a different date if the original date has to be altered due to Military activity, or b) include another event on the same date, or c) alter the number of scores to count. Overall points will be awarded to the highest placed registered drivers and co-drivers on each event as follows: 1 st 30 points 2 nd 28 points 3 rd 27 points and so on down to 2 points to the 28 th placed registered driver and co-driver overall, and every subsequent driver and co-driver who finishes the event. 1 point will be awarded to every non-finisher. Class Points will be awarded to the highest placed registered driver/co-driver in each class on each qualifying round as follows: 1 st 15 points 2 nd 12 points 3 rd 10 points 4 th 9 points and so on down to 12 th 1 point The allocation of series points will be based on the final results of the qualifying events. The points will be published on the series website as soon as possible after each event. Queries should be addressed to the championship co-ordinator. Subject to no protests being received, these points will become final 7 days later. Similarly, at the end of the year, the series points will become final 7 days after the provisional points are published on the website. Two sets of championship points will be allocated from the Manx National Rally. The first set will be allocated based on the overall classification as at the end of the Friday leg, provided the final control on Friday is visited within maximum lateness, and the second set of points will be allocated based on the overall classification as at the end of the Saturday leg ignoring any penalties incurred on the Friday leg, provided the first control on Saturday is visited within maximum lateness. Further clarification will be issued after the event regulations are published. Any ties will be decided in favour of the competitor with the greatest number of maximum scores within their best five scores. In the event of a further tie the greatest number of second highest scores shall decide and so on. Should this fail to resolve the tie then reference will be made to whoever has the fastest time on the first stage of the last event on which both competitors who have tied, took part. If this fails to resolve the tie, then joint awards will be presented. Should a registered driver or co-driver be in breach of the regulations, in the opinion of the Championship Organisers, any points which might have been awarded shall be forfeited and will not be awarded to the next registered driver or co-driver. Driver incentives and bonuses At the time of publication of these regulations, these apply to Michelin, Pirelli, and Hoosier tyres only, and to qualify for the tyre prizes, all the tyres used in the championship must have been purchased from Protyre Motorsport or their agreed supplier. All competing cars must carry the particular tyre manufacturer s logo on the car at all times, and the crew must wear the tyre manufacturer s winner s cap on the podium.

After each championship event, the Championship Co-ordinator will issue vouchers for tyres to match the ones used in the championship. These vouchers will be redeemable by Protyre on the next championship event that the winners compete on. The allocation will be; to the 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd registered drivers overall in the general classification (not eligible for class awards), 1 st registered driver in each of 3 classes from B10 to B15, by rotation, drivers are only eligible for one tyre award, therefore if you are 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd overall you will not receive awards for B10-B15, they will move to the next driver, on each event The tyre prize will also be awarded to 1 st registered driver overall in classes 1400C and 1400S by rotation subject to there being 5 entries per class. 1 st 4 tyres 2 nd 2 tyres 3 rd 2 tyres 1 st in each of 3 classes from B10 to B15 2 tyres 1 st in each class of either1400c or 1400S 2 tyres Classes B10, B11, B12, and 1400C on the Tour of Epynt, Rally-van-Wervick and the Mewla Rally. Classes B13, B14, B15, and 1400S on the Manx National, Down Rally and the Cheviot Stages. Article 8 Championship Awards All perpetual awards are the property of the BTRDA and will be retained by the club after the awards ceremony. These trophies will be made available for photographic purposes during the awards ceremony. AWARD WINNERS MUST BE PRESENT AT THE END OF SEASON AWARDS CEREMONY. Nonappearance may result in forfeiture of relevant awards. Awards not collected at the Awards Ceremony will NOT be posted. TO QUALIFY FOR AN OVERALL AWARD OR CLASS AWARD A COMPETITOR MUST HAVE STARTED AT LEAST 4 QUALIFYING EVENTS. Overall Awards 1 st Driver - The Protyre Trophy & BTRDA Award & BTRDA Gold Star 1 st Co-Driver - The Motordrive Seats Perpetual Trophy & BTRDA Award and BTRDA Gold Star 2 nd Driver - An Award 2 nd Co-Driver - An Award 3 rd Driver - An Award 3 rd Co-Driver - An Award 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd overall drivers/co-drivers are ineligible for any class awards Class awards will be presented to 1 st in each class 2 nd (subject to 5 registrations), 3 rd (subject to 7 or more registrations) Hendy Ford Performance Trophy The Hendy Ford Performance Trophy, plus a voucher for 100 redeemable at Hendy Ford Motorsport, will be presented to the driver of the highest placed registered 2wd, naturally aspirated Ford, in the overall points table at the end of the season. Melvyn Evans Motorsport Junior Award Test drive to include driving tuition with Melvyn to the highest placed driver in the overall points table aged Under 25 on 1 st January 2019 Tony Davies Memorial Award To be presented the individual who has done something special in relation to the Championship at the discretion of the Championship Co-ordinator. Mintex Junior Award Draw at the end of the season for 500 to registered U25 drivers on 1 st January, 2019
