1. RULES NOTICE OF RACE Nynäshamns segelsällskap, NSS invite to The European Cup for SK 30 and Open Swedish Championship for A 22 - Skärgårdskryssarpokalen July 27-30. 2012 in Nynäshamn, Sweden 1.1 The event will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). 1.2 The class rules. 1.3 Swedish competitors shall when racing follow the licensing rules for advertising as decided by the Swedish Sailing Federation. 1.4 Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority. 1.5 Competitors must wear personal flotation devices when the boat has left port, except for short-term replacement or adjustment of clothing or personal equipment. Wet suits and dry suits are not personal flotation devices. A boat that violates this rule may be warned or punished at the discretion of the Protest Committee. This rule supersedes Swedish KSR S17.2. June 5, 2012 2. CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATING 2.1 Competitors shall comply with ISAF Regulation 19. 2.2 The competitor responsible for the boat shall be member of a club associated with their national sailing authority. 2.3 All yachts must have a valid liability insurance 2.4 Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
3. ENTRIES 3.1 Entries and payment shall be made with entry form at the website www.nhss.se or this link (click). Entries should include answers to all obligatory questions in the entry form, including name, nationality, class, sail number and yacht club, e-mail address, home address and mobile phone number. 3.2 Entry fee is 1500 SEK before July 13. Entries received from July 13 on will be able to participate by the fee 2000 SEK. 3.3 The fee includes atendee Jubilee medals, boat and trailer parking at NSS wharf, launching and hauling, Jubilee & Regatta Opening Ceremonies and Receptions and berthing for one boat + one tender boat/crew. 3.4 Information given to NSS might be used in medias and on the Internet. 4. REGISTRATION & MEASUREMENT CHECKS 4.1 Registration shall be made at the Race Office not later than 27.july 2012, 09.00h. 4.2 Each participating boat shall have a valid Measurement Certificate registration. Valid Measurement Certificate shall be shown prior to racing. 4.3 Spot-checks regarding safety items will be done during the event. 5. July 6.2 A total of 8 races are scheduled. 7. RACE AREA Course will be conducted approximately 2,5 nm from the harbour, in the waters outside Nynäshamn.
8. COURSE 8.1 A Windward-leeward/trapezoid course will be sailed 2-3 laps. Start 1A 1B 2A(2B) - 1A 1B 2A(2B) - Finnish 9. SCORING 9.1 The low point scoring system of RRS Appendix A will apply, modified so that when three or fewer races have been completed, a boat s series score will be the total of her race scores. 9.2 3 races are required to be completed to constitute a championship.

At the international meeting in Stockholm on the 5 th of November 2011 it was decided that the following regulations should be attended for the European Cup 2012. Participants The sails and the rigging shall fulfil the Swedish national Rule for all boats. 30 Class: All boats that have been classified and registered as 30 Square Metres shall be allowed to participate. They shall have a valid Letter of Measurement. This means that the national rule, where and when the classification was issued, is valid for each boat. 22 Class: Every boat shall comply with the valid Swedish 22 Square Metre Rule in every aspect. They shall have a valid Swedish Letter of Measurement.
Security June 5, 2012 According to the Square Metre Rule the following security items shall be on board during the race: At least one life jacket per crewmember. An anchor, an anchor rope and a tow rope. 30 Class: An anchor with the weight of at least 17 kilos (Swedish boats) or 15 kilos (all other boats). It shall have an anchor rope of at least 35 metres. The anchor rope shall have a breaking load of at least 15 600 N. A tow rope of at least 35 metres (Swedish boats) or 20 metres (all other boats) with a breaking load of at least 15 600 N. 22s: An anchor with the weight of at least 15 kilos. It shall have an anchor rope of at least 30 metres. The anchor rope shall have a breaking load of at least 12 500 N. A tow rope of at least 30 metres with a breaking load of at least 12 500 N. Security checks will be carried out during the races. Measuring arrangements. A measuring and security check list for every boat shall be signed by NSS officials. It is for the boat owner to find an official to check the list. Officials will be available both at the NSS club house and at the regatta office in the Guest Harbour in Nynäshamn. All measuring activities beside the check list control will be carried out at the bridge by the NSS club house (where the crane is). All boats that are launched at the crane will have their masts measured. The boats will as well be weighed. A weighing certificate can be obtained if the boat owner wishes to have one (cost 15 EURO or 150 SEK). It will be possible to measure the boats and have the letter of measurement updated from July 18 to July 26. It is also possible to carry out the check list during these days.
