A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stewards questioned co-trainer Mr Trent Busuttin, who watched the race on TV interstate, and he did express some concern as to why his rider did not ride with vigour to the winning post. He explained the filly does have a choppy action, which is usual, and with the short back-up on a firmer track may have felt the effects. Stewards gave Daniel Stackhouse the benefit of the doubt however he was spoken to and reminded that he should, when possible, ride all of his mounts out with vigour to the end of the race. He was also reminded to report any concerns as soon as practical, regarding his mounts action.
