RPSI Inspection Paperwork Checklist General All original registration papers will be returned on the day of inspection. RPSI Membership is required for inspection of mares/foals/youngstock and stallions. Membership Forms may be filled out and submitted online, or downloaded/printed from the RPSI website and submitted with reservation form or on inspection day. All horses presented for registration must be physically seen by the judges. Microchipping is available at all inspection sites, for all ages of horses, for an additional $50. The permanent Microchip ID # will then be added to your horse's passport or original registration papers. All horses presented for original registration papers, including foals, youngstock or adult horses, must be given a permanent form of identification - either branding, microchipping, or both. For those horses not receiving a brand, microchipping is required, and may be done on inspection day or owner must provide a veterinary certificate proving administration of a microchip to the registry, along with the microchip number. A percentage of foals by their dam s side will be selected for random DNA testing throughout the inspection tour. We re looking forward to seeing you in 2014! Mares eligible for the Main and Premium books include: Mares registered with a recognized Warmblood breeding association, Thoroughbreds, Arabians, Anglo-Arabians, and Shagya Arabians. For the Pony Books: All of the above, as well as German Riding Ponies, Welsh A, B, and C s, Welsh Cobs, British Riding Ponies, Connemaras, American Sport Ponies and New Forest Ponies. Knabstruppers. Mares of breeds other than those accepted into the main books, or mares whose papers have been lost, may be eligible for the Pre-Mare books. Foals at Mare s Side Breeding Certificate signed by the stallion owner. Breeding Certificate forms are available for downloading from the RPSI website.

Foals sired by stallions approved by the RPSI or by a different warmblood registry but not active in the RPSI s current year stallion rosters are eligible for inspection and registration for an additional $50 fee per foal. Otherwise, mane hairs will be pulled on inspection day and owner should bring completed DNA Forms for each horse requiring DNA testing to the inspection. A percentage of foals at Mare's sides will be DNA tested on inspection day. Weaned Foals and older unregistered horses Breeding Certificate signed by Stallion Owner Dam must be inspected as well if she has not already been inspected into the RPSI mare books. This is true for weanlings as well as yearlings and other youngstock. If dam is deceased please provide a death certificate signed by veterinarian. Weanlings and Youngstock sired by stallions approved by the RPSI or by a different warmblood registry but not active in the RPSI s current year stallion rosters are eligible for inspection and registration for an additional $50 fee per foal. Completed Stallion Vet Exam form, filled out in advance by veterinarian (form available for download). X-ray reports of joints indicated on the Vet Exam Form will be required within 30 days of Stallion's inspection day for licensing to be granted. All stallions who do not already have DNA on file will have hairs pulled on inspection day for DNA testing.
