OFFICIAL RULES: 2017 THREE - PEAT CL OSING WE E K CONTESTS CONTEST DATES: CONTEST 1: FRIDAY, JUNE 30, 2017 - $700 Buy-in CONTEST 2: SATURDAY, JULY 1, 2017 - $3,000 Buy-in CONTEST 3: SUNDAY, JULY 2 - $3,000 Buy-in CONTEST LOCATION: SANTA ANITA PARK MUST BE AN NHC TOUR MEMBER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURNAMENTS (SEE #14) Santa Anita Park will host a total of three (3) separate one day, live money handicapping contests from Friday, June 30 Sunday, July 2. Contest 1 will take place at Santa Anita on Friday, June 30, Contest 2 will take place on Saturday, July 1, and Contest 3 will occur on Sunday, July 3, 2017. Players may enter as many contests as they may like, with a maximum of two (2) entries per person, per contest. 1. PLAYER S BANKROLL: These are real money handicapping contests with players competing with live money wagering cards. At the conclusion of the contests, any dollar amount remaining on the wagering card remains the property of the player. Contest 1 Bankroll: Contest 1 will occur on Friday, June 30 and require a $700 buy-in, per entry, with $400 placed on a wagering card, and the remaining $300 allocated toward the entry fee (100% of entry fees allocated to prizes). Contest 2 Bankroll: Contest 2 will occur on Saturday, July 1 and require a $3,000 buy-in, per entry, with $2,000 placed on a wagering card, and the remaining $1,000 allocated toward the entry fee (100% of entry fees allocated to prizes). Contest 3 Bankroll: Contest 3 will occur on Sunday, July 2 and require a $3,000 buy-in, per entry, with $2,000 placed on a wagering card, and the remaining $1,000 allocated toward the entry fee (100% of entry fees allocated to prizes).

HOW TO ENTER: Participants may enter by phone, online, by mail, or at the Main Thoroughbreds Center the day of the event (walk-up entry). Accepted payment methods for entries are check, credit card, and/or cash. Personal checks will not be accepted after Monday, June 26, 2017. MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ENTRIES: There is a maximum of TWO entries per person, per contest. A player may enter as many contests as they may like. Mail-In Entries: To enter the contest by mail send a check payable to Los Angeles Turf Club. Checks should be sent to: Santa Anita Park Attn: Nate Newby 285 West Huntington Dr. Arcadia, CA 91007 No personal checks will be accepted after Monday, June 26, 2017. Only cash entries will be accepted during the week of the tournament. Walk-Up Entries: Walk-up entries are accepted at the Main Thoroughbreds Center the day-of the contest(s). Only cash or credit card payments will be accepted. Participants must provide a valid government issued ID to a contest official. Walk-up entries will not be accepted after each contest s respective deadline to enter (see #2). 3. TOURNAMENT FORMAT: TOURNAMENT RACES: For each contest, tournament races will include: CONTEST DATE OF CONTEST TOURNAMENT RACES Contest 1 ($700 Buy-in) Friday, June 30, 2017 ALL Santa Anita live races on Friday, June 30, 2017. Contest 2 ($3,000 Buy-In) Saturday, July 1, 2017 ALL Santa Anita live races on Saturday, July 1, 2017. Contest 3 ($3,000 Buy-In) Sunday, July 2, 2017 ALL Santa Anita live races on Sunday, July 2, 2017.

WAGER FORMAT: For each contest, permitted wagers will include: Win, Place, Show, Exacta Trifecta, and Daily Double Wagers. (No Superfecta, Super High 5, Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5 or Pick 6 wagers will be permitted in the contest). REQUIRED BETTING MINIMUMS: Each entry must wager their entire bankroll on each respective contest date. Players may do so on one race or a combination of multiple races. CONTEST DATE OF CONTEST REQUIRED BET MIN. Contest 1 ($700 Buy-in) Friday, June 30, 2017 Must bet entire $400 Bankroll, per entry. Contest 2 ($3,000 Buy-In) Saturday, July 1, 2017 Must bet entire $2,000 Bankroll, per entry. Contest 3 ($3,000 Buy-In) Sunday, July 2, 2017 Must bet entire $2,000 Bankroll, per entry. Should a player fail to bet the required minimum, per entry on a respective contest date, they may be disqualified from the contest and will not be eligible to win prizes. Any situation involving a late scratch where it is deemed the players were not given sufficient time to adjust their betting will be handled on a case-by-case basis by Santa Anita contest officials. The players with the top bankrolls after the last race on each respective contest date will be declared the winners. It is the player s responsibility to meet the wagering requirements listed above. Santa Anita Park contest officials will make the decision on disqualification in the event of a rule violation and all decisions are final. The remaining bankroll on the player s wagering card remains the property of the player, however, their entry fee will not be refunded.

4. PRIZES CONTEST 1 PRIZES (Based on 100 Entries): Contest 1 will take place on Friday, June 30, 2017 and prizes will include: PRIZE QUANTITY DESCRIPTION NHC Entries: 2018 National Handicapping Championship (NHC) Entries Two (2) Entries Total Cash Prize Pool $15,000 (Based on 100 Entries) Contest 2 or 3 Entries $50,000 Bonus Eligibility One (1) $250,000 Bonus Eligibility Three (3) Entries Total One (1) Top two (2) bankrolls at the end of Contest 1 will receive one (1) entry into the 2018 NHC in Las Vegas. Hotel and airfare to Las Vegas are included. 1 St Place: $10,000 2 nd Place: $3,000 3 rd Place: $2,000 Each of the top three (3) finishers win one (1) entry into Contest 2 on Saturday, July 1, or Contest 3 on Sunday, July 2. Player s choice. If a player wins two of the three contests, he/she will win a $50,000 cash prize (Based on minimum of 45 participants in both Contest 2 and Contest 3). First place finisher is eligible for a $250,000 cash prize if they go on to win all three closing week contests. The final prize distribution for Contest 1 will be announced after entries close on Friday, June 30, 2017. In the event that there are fewer than 100 entrants in the Contest 1, Santa Anita Park reserves the right to offer a lower prize pool (100% of the entry fees will be paid out as prizes).

CONTEST 2 PRIZES (Based on 90 Entries): Contest 2 will take place on Saturday, July 1, 2017 and prizes will include: PRIZE QUANTITY DESCRIPTION NHC Entries: 2018 National Handicapping Championship (NHC) Entries 2017 Breeders Cup Betting Challenge (BCBC) Entries Five (5) Entries Total Two (2) Entries Total Cash Prize Pool $50,000 (Based on 90 Entries) Top five (5) bankrolls at the end of Contest 2 will receive one (1) entry into the 2018 NHC in Las Vegas. NHC Entries: Players will be eligible to win one NHC spot per person in this contest. Depending on a particular situation, L.A.T.C. (in cooperation with the NTRA) may assign an alternate qualifier. BONUS CASH PRIZES: $50,000 Cash Bonus: If a player wins two (2) of the three (3) contests above, they will win a $50,000 cash prize. The $50,000 will be paid in a lump sum. $250,000 Cash Bonus: If the winner of Contest 1 goes on to win Contest 2 and Contest 3, they will win a $250,000 cash prize (in addition to the $50,000 cash prize; $300,000 total). The $250,000 will be paid in a lump sum. There must be a minimum of 45 individual participants (not entries) in Contest 2 on Saturday, July 1, 2017, and a minimum of 45 individual participants (not entries) in Contest 3 on Sunday, July 2, 2017 in order for the $50,000 Cash Bonus and the $250,000 Cash Bonus to be an eligible prize. In the event that fewer than 45 individuals participate in Contest 2 or Contest 3, both the $50,000 Cash Bonus and $250,000 Cash Bonus will not be offered as a prize and the bonuses will be null and void. THE $1,000,000 CASH BONUS: $1,000,000 Cash Bonus: The winner of Contest 2 and the winner of Contest 3 will each be eligible for a $1,000,000 cash prize should they go on to win the Breeders Cup Betting Challenge on November 3-4, 2017. The winner will have their choice of a $1,000,000 annuity or lump sum cash payment of $575,000. 5. CHECK-IN ON CONTEST DAY Participants must check-in for each contest at the Main Thoroughbreds Center, located at Santa Anita Park, next to Patron Services. For assistance finding the Main Thoroughbreds Center please call (626) 574-6384.

6. PLAYER CARDS Each participant will be issued a player card used for all wagers. This card contains the real money bankrolls for each, respective contest. If a player loses his/her card, or the card is not working, the player should immediately report to the Main Thoroughbreds Center or a contest official to receive a new card. Santa Anita Park/Los Angeles Turf Club is not responsible for any races missed due to a malfunctioning or lost card. 7. PLACING WAGERS: For each, respective contest, all wagers must be placed through self-service machines. Wagers will not be accepted through mutuel tellers. Players must place all wagers personally unless pre-approved by a contest official. No person shall directly or indirectly act as an intermediary, transmitter, or agent in placing wagers for the player, unless authorized by L.A.T.C. tournament officials. All official track rulings will apply to wagers placed in the Tournament except as otherwise stipulated. The tournament will be based on official s placement and mutuels at Santa Anita. If a player wagers on a track other than Santa Anita Park for purposes of the contest, the player may be disqualified and any winnings will not count for contest standings. 8. ADVANCE WAGERING: Advance wagering will not be permitted unless prior approval has been obtained by a tournament official. Wagers for each race must be placed after the race prior has been declared official. This rule is designed to maintain an accurate leaderboard. If a player needs to advance wager for any reason, please contact a tournament official. The tournament official will decide if an advance wager will affect the integrity of the leader-board. All decisions are final and penalties for violating this rule will be at the sole discretion of tournament officials. 9. CASHING OUT THE BALANCE OF THE PLAYER WAGERING CARD: Players will not be able to cash out their wagering card until after the final live Santa Anita race becomes official on each respective contest date. Should the player cash out his/her card before the last live Santa Anita Race is official, that player s entry can be disqualified from any prizes.

10. IRS WITHHOLDING: On winning wagers that result in a payoff at odds of 300 to 1 or greater AND pay over $5,000, IRS withholding will automatically be deducted from the player s card. Whereas, for contest scoring purposes, the gross amount of the winning wager will be recorded in the player s score. Please note for purposes of wagering in the contest, only the net amount (the amount received after the IRS withholding) will be available to the player. 11. SCRATCHES If a horse is scratched after a wager is placed, it is the player s responsibility to change his/her selection prior to the race subject to all other contest and parimutuel wagering rules. 12. TIES In a result of a tie between any of the top five finishing positions, the player with the highest total wagers will be declared the winner for NHC qualifying purposes. For example, if two players tie for fifth place and player #1 has wagered a total $2,000 ending with a bankroll of $2,500 and player #2 has wagered a total $2,200 finishing with a bankroll of $2,500 (based on wagering his winnings as well as original bankroll), Player #2 will receive the NHC qualifying spot. If both players wagered the same amount and finished with the same final bankroll, the player with the highest single race profit will be awarded the qualifying spot. In the event both players wagered the same amount, finished with the same bankroll, and tied with the largest single race profit, the qualifying spots will be decided by whoever registered for the contest first. 13. CONTEST STANDINGS: Current standings will be posted after every race or as soon as the information is available. Standing will appear on a dedicated in-house TV channel. Please inquire at the registration desk for channel number.

14. NHC TOUR MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE: As required by the NTRA rules: All tournament participants must be members of the NHC Tour before the contest begins in order to participate in the NHC in Las Vegas. Tourney participants may register for the NHC Tour at www.ntra.com/content/nhctour. The cost is a one-time fee of $50. NHC Tour members must be at least 21 years of age to participate in the NHC in Las Vegas 15. INELIGIBILITY / DISCLOSURE: The following are ineligible to participate in this contest: Santa Anita Park contest officials and NHC Contest Officials. If anyone has any ownership interest in any horses running in any of the applicable tournament races then all involvements must be fully disclosed to Santa Anita tournament officials prior to the start of the tournament. 16. TAXES: Liability for any and all federal, state, and local taxes is solely the responsibility of prize winners. 17. AFFIDAVITS: Affidavits confirming compliance of all the rules of this contest will be required of all participants. The grand prize winner acknowledges that if they enter this contest under a fraudulent name and/or Social Security number, they will be immediately disqualified from this and all future contests held by Los Angeles Turf Club, Inc. Positive identification is required of all prizewinners. Positive identification is a valid California Driver s License with a picture and the same address and birth date used on the entry forms, and/or such other form of identification as deemed adequate by contest officials. Social Security information is also the responsibility of the player. Social Security information must be provided before the players are given their bankroll card. 18. JUDGING AND DISPUTES: The management of The Los Angeles Turf Club, Inc. reserves the right to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to this event, without claim for damages or recourse of any kind. The management of The Los Angeles Turf Club, Inc. with those decisions to be final will decide all questions and definitions not covered explicitly in these rules.

If for any reason there is a cancellation in racing on Friday, June 30, 2017, Saturday, July 1, 2017, or Sunday, July 2, 2017, the respective contest will be based on the races completed during the event. If the cancellation takes place prior to the first race, the respective contest will be cancelled and all entry fees will be refunded. Santa Anita contest officials will make an announcement and all decisions are final. Anyone found to have engaged in or attempted to engage in any act that Tournament officials believe in their sole and absolute discretion compromises or could compromise the competitive integrity of this contest will be subject to sanctions imposed by Santa Anita Park management. The nature and extent of the sanctions imposed shall be in the sole and absolute discretion of Santa Anita Park management and may include, but shall not be limited to, the following: Disqualification from the contest Loss of privilege to participate in future Santa Anita Handicapping Contests
