INFORMATION! Arrivals for the SSRMHC 3 Day Charity Event will be able to get into the stalls on Wednesday afternoon. Stalls will be marked with last name or farm name. We invite you to visit our Southern States Rocky Mountain Horse Hospitality Stall in the Barn once settled in! The entire Park and trail system is large enough to enjoy a nice easy practice ride to enjoy the scenery and (hopefully) the wonderful Florida Weather! Get settled in, explore the tack shops of Ocala, and get prepared to have a GREAT WEEKEND! THURSDAY This is a day for fun and friendship and practice! The trail ride will start at 2:00pm from the trail head at the Florida Horse Park. After the trail ride, we invite everyone to bring an item for potluck picnic and more socializing! There is NO FEE to join the ride, but we do ask that everyone consider making a donation to the event. Let s not forget who we are riding for! Operation 300 will be on our minds all weekend, and though the trail ride is not competitive, it is still an important part of our event. FRIDAY The show starts at 10am. There will be vendors and food all right there by the arena. Featuring a special schooling class for riders following the conformation classes. This class each day offers an opportunity for riders that have never shown before that want to get a feel for the ring and instant feedback and guidance from experienced trainers and exhibitors. ALSO -Diane Sept has graciously offered to give special coaching on a trail obstacle course for those that want to take part on Friday afternoon. The fee is $30/ to enter and receive valuable coaching from a judges perspective on how to ROCK the trail obstacle classes. Diane Sept is a Connected Riding Senior Instructor Clinician, Independent Judge s Association Judge, Senior IJA Gaited Dressage Judge, USEF Member and FOSH Member. This is a tremendous opportunity for non-show and show riders alike to work on their skills and further their education at minimal cost! SATURDAY The show starts at 9am. Vendors and food will be available. At 12 Noon, there will be a special Tribute to the Veterans, demonstration, and presentation of Operation 300 as our chosen Charity. This is a BUSY Show day, please remember to be prompt for your classes. We will not hold the gate unless a tack change has been requested in advance. For those that showed on Friday, don t forget New day New judge! We have a separate judge each day. The Trail Obstacle Class will be open for an allotted time on Saturday to allow for participants to fit it into their schedule, simply indicate to the judge whether or not you are in the RMHA class or the OGB class. Exhibitors are welcome to keep their horses overnight on Saturday, but must be out of the stalls by 11am on Sunday morning. Open Gaited Breed Classes will be judged with each horse against it s own breed standard. RMHA classes will be judged in accordance to the RMHA show rules and bylaws. As the SSRMHC, we are affiliated with the RMHA, and we will hold all exhibitors to RMHA and FOSH Philosophy as it applies to absolutely NO STACKS, CHAINS, excessive hoof length beyond 4.5 inches. Maximum shoes allowed for OGB/TWH/SSH/RH classes is the light shoe. We expect that all exhibitors hold themselves to high standards of sportsmanship and stewardship of their respective breeds and remember that this show is first and foremost a CHARITY EVENT and an opportunity for all the gaited breeds to come together.
