Be a part of a competition that gives back to those in need! Join us as we partner with Philadundance and teach our cheerleaders the spirit of giving. This food drive cannot work without the help of you and your parents. Please join us in fighting hunger, right here in our own backyards. How it works Kedron Cheerleading and Ridley High School students are working with Philabundance to collect non-perishable and canned food items to feed the homeless in Philadelphia and surrounding areas. What your teams can do Your teams are asked to bring one or more items for each registering cheerleader. For example your team has 25 participates, you will need to bring a minimum of 25 items. All items should be placed in a cardboard box or something creatively decorated by your team, and brought with you to registration. When you check-in and register your team, our volunteers will take your items and bring them to your organization s designated area outside of the gym. Each team within your organization will have their items placed in the same location, however, each box/basket will be counted to ensure the proper numbers of items have been received for each team. In exchange for your donation, you will receive a voucher stating that your team has met the requirements to receive a $25 rebate from Kedron Cheerleading. A check will be mailed back to your organization within 2 weeks of our competition date. What you as a coach/ director can do Use this as an opportunity to involve your cheerleaders in a community service project. Encourage cheerleaders to get excited about the food drive by decorating a spirit box to fill your items and plan how you are going to use your rebate. What your parents / Fans can do Have your association, parents and fans support your teams by participating in the food drive the day of our competition by bringing non-perishable items. They will receive $1.00 off the admission price at the door. Their items will be added to your team contribution. The association with the most items donated at the end of the competition will be presented with the Kedron Community Spirit Award.
