EVENTS TO COUNT All Navigational motoring events run for IDMC members only as published in the Newsletter and on the club website. 2. SCORING SYSTEM IDMC members who compete on an event are automatically registered as Championship Contenders. Points on each event will be awarded to each Championship Contenders on the scale of 30, 27, 25, 24, 23, 22,21 and so forth down to a minimum of 2 points for classified finishers. Non-finishers will be awarded 1 point. Anyone excluded from the event will score zero points. Points will be awarded to the driver and one nominated Navigator. At each event championship Contenders who organise an event will be awarded 30 points (max two people) - No person may benefit from this more than once in any year. Championship Contenders who marshal or assist (on 12 car rallies) will be awarded 20 points on each occasion. 3. SCORES TO COUNT: Positions will be based on the best results from N-1 where N is the number of events. A minimum of 4 scheduled events are required. Should an event be cancelled then N-2 from N-1 will count etc All non-starts will be regarded as a nil score. 4. TIES Ties will be decided in the following order: Highest number of 30 scores, highest number of 27 scores, and so on. Best result not already accounted for. 5. CLASSES Expert: Any competitor who in their respective role as Driver or Navigator has: Finished in the top 3 of an IDMC Navigational Scatter or 12 Car Rally on 3 or more occasions, since 2010 (Any event which runs with less than 9 entries would not count towards this) And/or finished in the top ten on a National B Road, Navigational or Historic since 2010 (Any event which runs with less than 9 entries would not count towards this) and/or previously won the Skipton Trophy

And/or been classified as being a Master or Expert in a National B Road, Navigational or Historic Rally since 2010 Previously won the Skipton Trophy Novice Championship. Novice: Any Competitor who in their respective role as Driver or Navigator does not qualify as an expert (as per above). 6. NOTES TO CLASSES Crews will be classified on each event by the experience of the Navigator. Any Competitor who starts a season in a class will stay in that class for the remainder of the championship season. Any competitor may elect to run in a higher class on their first event of the season if they wish to do so, but must stay in that class for the remainder of the season. The C of C of an event or the Championship coordinator reserves the right to reclassify a crew if they have reasonable cause to do so. On Navigational Scatters Novice Crews may be given extra time as judged by the C of C of the event. On 12 Car Rallies Novice crews will not be given any Plot and Bash Navigation at IRTC's and all route hand outs will be given to them at least 5 minutes before their due time at the start and/or half way. Route Handouts for Novices may consist of simple navigation or marked maps. Provisional results will be announced on the event and are then subject to ratification at car comps /committee. 6. Awards: Individual event awards* 1 st Expert Driver & 1 st Expert Navigator 1 st Novice Driver & 1 st Novice Navigator UNDER 18 - subject to 3 entries UNDER 23 subject to 3 entries OVER 45 - subject to 3 entries OVER 65 - subject to 3 entries LADIES - subject to 3 entries Championship awards** 1st Overall Skipton Trophy 1st Novice Winter Trial Trophy 1st under 18 an award 1st under 23 Tunnicliffe Trophy, 1st Lady Brooks Trophy. No person may win more than one championship award. For Ladies and Under 18, under 23, over 45 and over 65 either driver or navigator are eligible. *Event awards are awarded on a year by year basis. **Championship awards are awarded on a season to season basis.

ILKLEY & DISTRICT MOTOR CLUB LTD Scatter Supplementary Regulations (Skipton Trophy 2016/17 Round 4, 11 th January 2017) 1. Ilkley & District Motor Club Limited will organise a Clubsport Permit Navigation event. The starting location will be Hawthorn Farm, Yeadon, LS19 7FT, MR104-221419 Car 0 start time will be 19:45 with the remaining cars following at 1 minute intervals Maps 99 and 104 will be required. 2. The meeting will be held under the General Regulations of the Motor Sports Association (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA) and these Supplementary Regulations. 3. MSA Permit Number: 98816 4. The event is open to: All fully elected members of the organising club, and members of invited clubs A valid Club Membership Card, or completed membership application and payment must be produced at signing on. 5. The programme of the event will be: Scrutineering and signing on will start at 19:00 Car 1 will depart 19:46 Any competitor not signed on by 19:15 may be excluded. (we have quite a tight schedule, please arrive early as possible, especially novices for early handouts!) 6. All vehicles must be taxed and insured for use on the public highway and where appropriate have a current MOT. The wearing of racing-style overalls and crash helmets, the use of intercoms, GPS receivers and the carrying of spare fuel cans is prohibited - penalty is exclusion. Mobile telephones may be carried (switched off) in competing cars in the interests of safety and may only be used in an emergency or on retirement (H36). Cars will be inspected for damage at Scrutineering. All competitors must declare any damage incurred (either to their car or to a third party s property) during the event, on the form provided. Failure of any competitor, whether the vehicle is damaged or not, must hand in a completed damage declaration at the finish of the event will result in exclusion. Competitor s attention is drawn to General Regulation H88 requiring competitors who retire to return their damage declarations to the organisers within 72 hours of the end of the event. 7. No Car must use more than two additional Auxiliary lights, over and above that provided by the manufacturer of the car when supplied new. Any additional lights must be put beyond use for the duration of the event. 8. The entry fee is 8.00 Entries must be sent in on the official entry form, or using the IDMC online entry system. Entries should be in and paid for by 19.15PM on the Monday prior to the event. Late Entries (subject to availability) can be placed on the night but in this case the entry fee would be 15.00 A surcharge for paying by Paypal is to be levied. 9. The organiser reserve the right to cancel the event unless a minimum of 6 entries are received by 17.15PM on the Monday prior to event. Any fees received would be refunded. Third Party Insurance is available from the MSA brokers at a cost of 15.00 subject to you being able

to comply with the following conditions: Age 19 years or over Has held a full licence for a minimum of 6 months Has no more than 6 points of their licence Has had no more than 1 fault claim in the last 3 years Anyone aged less than 19 years old will also be accepted at the same price should their co-driver be a more senior member of their family or over 25 9. Provisional results will be published as soon as possible following the event. Results become final once ratified by the Car Competitions Committee following the event. ALL DRIVERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND A BRIEFING THIS WILL START AT 19:15 AROUND THE SIGNING ON TABLE! Entries will be accepted in order of receipt. 10. The maximum entry for the event is 12. The minimum is 8. Should any of the above figures not be reached, the organisers reserve the right to cancel the event. 11. Provisional results will be published as soon as possible following the event at the finish location. Ties will be decided in accordance with H90. 12. Marking and penalties will be as printed in Chart 13, using the time system. Stopping within sight of an intermediate regularity control (except to comply with the RTA) will be 5 minutes. 14. Details of the route, types of section, timing procedure will be notified in the Final Instructions which will be emailed to all entrants and otherwise available at the start. Timing will use the Scheduled Timing System (R12.1). Competitors will be identified by numbers, which will be provided. Controls will be as per R11. Maximum lateness will be 15 minutes 59 seconds. Competitors will be required to make up time at the rest halt. 15. No Car must use more than two additional Auxiliary lights, over and above that provided by the manufacturer of the car when supplied new. Any additional lights must be put beyond use for the duration of the event. Light Pods are not allowed on IDMC 12 car Rallies. R18.5.5 applies which does not permit the use of LED or Gas discharge Auxiliary lights. 16. In accordance with J5.20.6, and on publication of these regulations commercial vehicles will be permitted providing they are a Car based vehicle. 17. All other GRs of the MSA apply as written in the 2016 yearbook.

FORMAT Route The route will be approx 60miles on public roads. The event uses OS Landranger 1:50,000 map numbers 99 & 104 (latest edition). The correct route shall be the shortest route between controls, avoiding blackspots and complying with route instructions. NAVIGATION The navigation may consist of blackspots, herringbones, map features, tulips, spot heights, crossing gridlines, Jogularity instructions, departing grid squares, marked maps and not as maps. TIMING Maximum lateness is 15 minutes and 59 seconds that means if you are more than 15 minutes and 59 seconds late at any control you will be outside your total lateness (OTL) and deemed not to have visited the control. All controls will close after the last car is OTL. On the regularity sections Intermediate controls will be timed to the second and distances will be measured to the tenth of a mile. A penalty of 1 second will be applied for every second late or early. You must not stop within sight of a control on these sections. The average speed for all sections will all be no higher than 30 MPH, you should endeavor to maintain the correct speed at all times on the regularity sections. The controls within the regularity sections will be secret and the instructions will not provide these. The organisers times and mileage will be deemed to be correct. All starters will be classified as finishers. You will be required to make up lateness at the half-way halt and restart on your due time. You cannot make up time at any other point without receiving a penalty. CONTROLS MAIN TIME CONTROL (MTC) Situated at the start venue, halfway halt and finish. Leave at the time indicated on your time card. NEUTRAL TIME CONTROL (NTC) Situated at the end of a neutral section and the start of the next competitive section. You will not be penalised for being late at an NTC, but due to the nature of these sections you must not complete them in less time than your allowed time. The penalty for arriving early is 30 minutes so be extra careful please. INTERMEDIATE TIME CONTROL (IRTC) These controls are secret as the location will not be given in the route instructions. They will be located on the correct route. You have to maintain an average speed as described in the instructions between these controls and you will be timed to when you stop in the control at the marshal s position. You must not stop or appear to have stopped within sight of these controls. You are not allowed to recover any time between IRTC s without penalty.

ROUTE CHECK (RC) These will be unmanned checks to ensure you are traversing the correct route. You will be required to record the information on your Time Card, they may be signposts, road signs or any other type of information the organisers deem applicable. Record the required information in the appropriate space on your Time Card and obtain a signature for the item at the next manned control. The penalty for missing an RC will be 5 Minutes. Not as map diagrams (NAM) These are sketches showing road features which would not be discernible from the maps but will be needed to comply with the route. They will be given out at signing on. Note most NAMs will also have an RC, or a time control. DRIVING STANDARDS Please show due consideration to other road users. All Officials are Driving Standards Observers (DSO) and will be positioned along the route to ensure you are not making excessive vehicle noise, driving at excessive speed or driving in a manner likely to bring motor sport into disrepute. PENALTIES Missing a time control or being OTL: 15 minutes Missing or incorrectly recorded Route Check: 5 minutes Failure to stop at a Give Way or Stop sign: Exclusion Driving through a blackspot: Exclusion Driving in a manner likely to bring Motor Sport into disrepute: Exclusion Approaching a control from the wrong direction (This is deemed to be the line of sight of the marshal, it is not bound by a distance). 15 minutes Visiting a control more than once 15 minutes Stopping within sight of a IRTC 5 minutes Arriving before due time at an IRTC Actual time early Arriving after due time at an IRTC Actual time late Completing a neutral in less time than allowed: 30 minutes Tie Decider Furthest cleanest
