Social Media Links ABOUT THE COMPANY 3Fall Dance Company is a nonprofit company based in West Sussex providing performances and workshops across the UK and further afield. The company is made up of 14 dancers, 4 administators and 3 technicians, who all travel together to produce our spring tour. All members of the company are in their final year of studies towards a Ba(Hons) in dance at the University of Chichester. The repertoire for 3Fall Dance Company s Spring Tour 2019 will consist of three works by professional choreographers as well as works from young emerging choreographers from the University of Chichester. The full show lasts approximately 90 minutes.
THE CHOREOGRAPHERS CARMINE DE AMICIS - 1943 ANTONIA GROVE - HA HA HA Antonia trained at the Rambert School and then joined Rambert Dance Company 1998-2003. She has worked with choreographers including Christopher Bruce, Jiri Kylian, Mats Ek, Merce Cunningham, Glen Tetley, Johan Inger, Ohad Naharin, Jeremy James, Richard Alston, Wayne McGregor, Javier de Frutos, Didy Veldman, Rafael Bonachela, Mark Bruce, Charles Linehan, Lea Anderson, Stephen Mear, Yasmeen Godder, Matthew Dunster & Wendy Houstoun.As performer Antonia has twice been nominated for the Critics Circle National Dance Awards and a Time Out Live Award. Antonia founded the dance theatre company Probe in 2004 and has produced and performed 6 touring productions to date. Carmine De Amicis born in Italy, is a current performer for Richard Alston Dance Company. He performed in the UK with Shobana Jeyasingh Dance, Tavaziva, Josè Agudo - Akademi, Watkins Dance Company and Grange Park Opera amongst others. As choreographer Carmine received Arts Council England funding in 2018 for the creation of EDIFICE Dance Theatre s production Tenome - Eyes on hand and choreographic commissions from På Tå Hev (Norwegian Ballet and Opera), The University of Chichester and several UK Youth Dance Companies. Carmine is Associate Lecturer at the University of Chichester; Rehearsal Director for Akademi and Tavaziva; Workshop facilitator for Shobana Jeyasingh Dance. Carmine trained at the University of Chichester (Master of Art In Dance Performance), National Academy of Dance (Rome) and the University of Rome 3. WORKSHOPS 3Fall offer workshops in addition to or alongside performances. Workshops are led by 3-5 members of the company and can be tailored to a variety of age ranges, abilities and the needs of the venue. The opportunity to work with members of the company allows participants to gain a deeper understanding of the creative and technical process involved with constructing the spring tour. Our workshops are designed to challenge, inspire and educate participants, but mostly to provide an enjoyable and nourishing experience. Please inform us of any adaptations you feel may need to be made to a generic workshop to suit your establishment. Workshops are ideally designed for around 25 students. Workshop A - Technique A structured class centered around contemporary technique. Technique workshops will strengthen foundations of contemporary technique and inform physicality. Workshop B - Creative/Choreography A chance for students to explore working innovatively in order to inform choreographic practice and creative skills. Workshop C - Repetory A physical exploration of current reportoire from the company tour, Incorporating a variety of content from all three professional pieces. This will provide participants with a deeper understanding of performance ability. JAMES WILTON - TBC Following on from london contemporary dance school, James was commisioned to tour his student work for scottish dance theatre. In 2010 he founded James WIlton Dance Company and created his first professional work The Shortest Day winning Saddlers Wells Global Dance Contest and the Audience Award for best choreography. Since then James has toured internationally. James now works as a choreographer, producer and artistic director.
