Back To School Dance The RMS Back to School Dance took place on Wednesday, September 19th in the MPR. It was themed, Back to School. In the snack bar they had pizza, candy, and drinks. We asked 7th grader Aaliah Medina what she thought of the dance. She said, It was fun, but they should add balloons next time! Then we asked 7th grader Ethan Soto what his favorite part of the dance was. He responded, I liked the songs they played since they had some Mexican songs, but they should improve on the food. If you are a 7th or 8th grader who missed the dance, you should consider going to the next one in December. By: Oscar Santiago and Oscar Briceno

By Cody Smith The cross country team is made up of 7th and 8th graders both boys and girls. The runners are Andrew Armstrong, Logan Baize, Karsyn Bauer, Martin Beltran, Oscar Briceno, Brooke Dasilva, Marissa Delatorre, Dylan Devine, Victor Duran, Shaun Foster, Noah Gaither, Jonathan Garcia, Eduardo Gonzalez, Julianna Gonzalez, Grace Haney, Josh Kerber, Gunreet Mahil, Kylee Manter, Kameron Mccombs, Samuel McPherson, Chris Murillo, Maygan Ostly, Andrea Ovando, Anastasia Pille, James Reyes, Ellie Sano, Oscar Santiago, Andre Sermeno, Cody Smith, Ethan Soto, Jakob Smith, CJ Taylor, Zain Wani, and Maci Whaley. There are going to be meets on Wednesday, October 10, Wednesday, October 17, Wednesday, October 24, Wednesday, October 31, and Wednesday, November 7.The Meet on November 7 is the league meet and the last one of the season. The coach for the team is the high school teacher Mr. Poodry. Some of the team thinks we are going to do well and others think we will do bad at the meets. I got some of the team to say what they think about the others and if we will win our first meet. I asked Oscar B, How do you think our team will do? and he said, I think we will do great. I asked Oscar S and he said, I think it will be good because of the skilled runners and their effort. The coach of the cross country team is Mr. Poodry. We asked him if he thinks we are going to win our first meet and he said, We have a good opportunity because we have good runners and a lot of depth which gives us a better chance against the girls. I asked Martin what he thought about the other people and the team and he said, The others are really skilled and motivated and that gives us a good chance at winning.

Boys Soccer So far the season has been going good for the boys with only one loss to Mendota but still pushing ahead. The boys have a good start to the season and have a good season ahead.
