Title Championships schedule July 2nd: - Orientation and dancers begin separate age division opening number rehearsals - Dancers take a ballet class in the age division - Opening number rehearsal with all age groups, Costumes handed out Title Championships schedule July 3rd: - Final rehearsal on stage in costume - Title Championships Dancers receive 3 scores: ballet evaluation, routine technique and presentation of their routine. The competition portion has a panel of five judges. The highest and lowest technique and presentation scores for each routine are dropped to achieve an average score. One dancer is announced as the National Title Winner. Runner-ups will be acknowledged based on the number of competitors in each division. There must be 2 contestants for a title category to be official. If a category has only one entry, the dancer will be automatically moved to the overall solo competition. Title championship entries are not eligible for and cannot compete the same routine for overall solo consideration. If a dancer has more than one solo, they can choose to enter one in title and the others in the solo competition. INSTRUCTIONS: Once studios transfer their entries from regionals to nationals, any solo entry interested in competing for a National Title should be amended by checking off title contestant in their online registration. Studios should also fill out the official entry form, indicate costume size(s) and submit with a digital headshot, via email, by May 25, 2019, to info@headlinerscompetition.com.
