Gentlemen of the BTC, January 10, 2019 We are only one week into the new year and compromise over a wall between our elected officials seems distant. I hope they can figure this out soon and get back to governing. I can t remember when the BTC had 2 weeks off in a row. Let s get back to work gentlemen! It seems that Justin Kamper has a protégé down in Florida. Almost to the day another bowler accomplished a similar feat. The BTC (Gary Foster) received a letter and news article from Jack McGuire about a bowler down there who had a 270, 298, and 300 game. Thanks Jack, I will pass on the article. Lightning strikes twice in two states! A sign this is a small world after all, Tuesday at the bowling alley, while bowling together and talking, Jerry Junkas and Gene Banas discovered thatt 50 years ago they were in basic training, Echo Company (ES1), at Fort Campbell, Kentucky together, but did not know each other! Good thing because they may have shot each other! Lol. Also, Val Sarli is introducing a new event for the bowling league, a Mini Calcutta. Details are later in the newsletter. Hopefully, there will be great interest in this event throughout the Club. See Val Sarli with any questions. On the courts of blue my compadres Charlie Dinolfo, Al Baldermann, and Bob Schaefer kept me running in every direction possible. Thanks for the workout! January BTC Birthdays: Don Berry, Wayne Hutchinson, Dick Kamin, Dave Kappel, Jim McDermott, Ron Miller, Jim Reichenberger, Dennis Samoska Jr., William Sawyer, William Shaw, Joe Stein, David Sullivan, Mike Tomkins, Robert Welsch, Joseph Wilda, and Andy Zilis!
