$10,000 FoxFarms Hunter Derby The FoxFarms Hunter Derby is a two round competition, emphasizing, brilliance of performance, manners, handiness and style, judged over three different heights (2 9, 3 and 3 3). The first & second round to be shown over a course of at least 8 jumps which must include a bending line, two stride in & out, a long approach, natural jumps, a trot jump(only in one round) and an option that presents itself as a more difficult track. The top twelve scores will come back for the second round and will jump at their respective heights. Riders scores from the first round will be averaged with the second round score to determine the overall winner. Prize money and ribbons to 8th. $1,000 Derby Challenge Open to non pros. Rider must have not competed at this show over 2 9. The Derby Challenge is a one round competition, emphasizing, brilliance of performance, manners, handiness and style, judged over three different heights (2, 2 6 and 2 9). To be shown over a course of at least 8 jumps which must include a bending line, a long approach, natural jumps, a trot jump and an option that presents itself as a more difficult track. USEF SAFE SPORT TRAINING REQUIRMENT Starting January 1, 2019, if you are a USEF Competing Member 18 years of age or older you are required to complete the core Safe Sport Training within 30 days of activating your membership. Leadline, Walk Trot and Opportunity classes are exempt. No horse will be permitted to show if not microchipped!

HUNTER DIVISIONS HUNTER CLASSES: Hunter sections will be judged on performance and soundness. Manners shall be emphasized and extreme speed penalized in all Junior and Pony Classes. In the Children s, Adult Amateur and non-rated hunter sections, horses will not be jogged for soundness. Prize to 1st, Ribbons 1st-8th. Prize money only offered in over fence classes, 1st-30%, 2nd-22%, 3rd-15%, 4th-10%, 5th-7%, 6th-6%, 7th-5%, 8th-5%. Classes marked with a * are under saddle classes. Classes designated with an h are Handy Hunter classes. Classes designated with a c are conformation. Classes designated with are the first round of the Open Hunter Classic. RULES AND GENERAL INF RMATION 1. Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF Rule Book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. 2. MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT (GR901.9): Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot (exception: Friesian performance FR222) and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. 3. FEDERATION ENTRY AGREEMENT (GR906): By entering a Federation-licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach, Driver, Rider, Handler, Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the Federation ) and the local rules of the competition. I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and of the competition. I will accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the competition, the Federation, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules. I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the rules, and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, the Federation and/or the competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cable casts, or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the competition, sport, or the Federation. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and they may not be used in such a way as to jeopardize amateur status. The construction and application of Federation rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any action instituted against the Federation must be filed in New York State. See GR908.4. The competition and its management agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the PCHA, its directors, officer, committee members, agents and employees from and against all loss or damage including any and all claims arising out of the competition, including claims as to personal injury or property loss or damage suffered during or in conjunction with the competition, whether or not such injury or loss resulted directly or indirectly from negligent acts or omissions of said directors, officers, committee members, agents or employees. 4. MANAGEMENT: The Horse Show Management reserves the right to itself to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to, or arising out of, or incident to the show without claims for damages or recourse of any kind. All questions not covered in these Rules and Regulations shall be decided by the Horse Show Management; its decision to be final. 5. RESPONSIBILITY: The Horse Show Management reserves to itself the right to refuse, accept conditionally, or to cancel any entries, disqualify any riders or Competitors, prohibit exhibition of entries, and cancel award prizes, without claim for damages; to change any course, to add a dotted line, to cancel or combine any unfilled classes, or to reschedule classes, after due notice to Competitors; to change rings or rotate judges; to change specifications in Jumper classes as competition warrants and in compliance with all Federation rules. 6. CONDITION OF ENTRY: Every horse entered herein for competition will be under the control of the Horse Show Management, but the show management will in no case be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur, and it shall be a condition of entry that each Competitor shall hold the individual horse shows and the officials, employees, directors, officers, sponsoring entities, Federation, the Competition, FoxFarms Inc, Murieta Equestrian Center and Cosumnes Corp., and its employees, directors, officers, sponsoring entities of each horse show and the facilities at which each horse show is held blameless for any loss or accident to his horse(s), employee(s), or equipment which may occur from sickness, fire or other cause. All owners and Competitors shall be responsible for any damage incurred by them, their agents or employees to stalls, buildings, and other properties on the show grounds, and shall be billed accordingly. 7. STALL REQUEST: Trainers will be responsible for payment of all stalls requested via entry, text or email after the close of entries. A check or credit card is required to hold stalls. (Substituting a horse stall after the close of entries see rule 11) 8. ENTRY PROCEDURES: Entry blanks must be filled out completely, including all classes entered, signatures and organizational membership numbers. Incomplete entry blanks may be returned and Show Numbers will not be given to Competitors with incomplete entry forms. Entry blanks must be postmarked on or before the closing date of entries. Any entry postmarked after the closing date of entries will be charged a $50 late fee. For each horse entered, a check or credit card for the applicable Registration Fee, Open Arena fee and Stall Fee must be included. All horse on the grounds must have an entry blank, even non-showing horses. Numbers will not be issued without a check or credit card covering the balance of the entries. Entries should not be made from the Schedule - consult the index of classes. Credit cards (Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express): Card holder will be charged a 3% Retail Adjustment over the published rates as the rates shown in the Prize List are discounted for paying by cash, check or money order. If paying by credit card, upon receipt of the entry blank, Horse Show Management will charge the credit card for the Competition Registration Fee, Open Arena Fee and Stall Fee. Credit cards shall be presented to Horse Show Management in the office before or at the time of close out. If such card is not presented or an alternative method of payment is not made, Rider/Trainer/Owner agrees that Horse Show Management is authorized to charge the credit card pursuant to the information contained in the entry blank at the conclusion of the Competition. Cash, Check or Money Order Payments: The rates in this Prize List reflect the 3% discount if paying by cash, check or money order. REGISTRATION FEE & ADD/SCRATCH POLICY: Registration Fee allows for unlimited Adds/Scratches the day before the schedule class except Featured Classes (see Rule 38) and astrid (**) marked Hunter Divisions (see rule 13D). Same day Scratches will pay a $10 scratch fee. Adds/ Scratches must be done on an Add/Scratch Form or Trainer Form in the Horse Show Office. OPEN ARENA FEE: This fee allows for Competitors to ride & jump in the arenas, all day Tuesday and before and after the show, as arenas are available. 11. HORSE SUBSTITUTION POLICY: After the close of entries substituting a scratched horse with another horse within the same trainers barn is allowed and the substituted horse will be charged $25 in addition to all other fees. The scratched horse will pay a scratch fee of $115. No substituting allowed after a horse has shown. 12. ENTRY BLANKS: Care should be taken to enter each horse in its proper division or class. Competitors are responsible for their errors and those of their agents in making out entry blanks. In all cases the description on the entry blank must fully identify ` the horse. The word entry shall not be accepted. All entry blanks must have: A. Be properly signed, and in the case of a minor, be signed by a parent or guardian. B. Be made on an entry blank provided by the show. C. Show the correct mailing address of the owner. D. Social Security number must be included on entry blank. E. After the show starts, if a horse is ill or injured classes scratched the same day they are scheduled receive a full refund with an Official Show Veterinarian Certificate provided the Horse Show Office receives it with 48 hours. Stall, Registration Fee and Open Arena Fee are not refunded. D. After the first class is completed in a astrid (**) marked Hunter Division no refunds will be issued. E. No request for refunds will be accepted after the close of the show. 14. NON-NEGOTIABLE CHECKS/CREDIT CARDS: Checks returned, a closed account, stop payment, incorrect or incomplete credit card information or a charge back by the bank for any reason are regarded as a most serious offense and will be handled in the following procedure. $25 OR 10% OF THE AMOUNT OF THE BILL WILL BE ASSESSED. Request for stalls for horses not entered in the show or for tack, feed or grooming may be reduced by management and refunds given, if there is a shortage of stalls. NO STRAW ALLOWED. Wood or Canvas construction: Top & bottom doors 10 x 10 stall. 22. FEED AND BEDDING: All orders must be made through the Horse Show Office (916) 305-8897 or on your entry blank. 23. MEDICAL WASTE: Needles must be placed in the proper receptacles. Anyone found in violation shall be subject to a fine or other penalties deemed necessary by Show Management. 24. MEASURING OF ENTRIES: Time of measuring will be posted in the Horse Show Office. ALL HUNTER AND JUMPER PONIES AND JUNIOR HUNTERS MUST HAVE A COPY OF OR THEIR ORIGINAL MEASUREMENT CARDS PRESENTED TO ONE OF THE SHOW SECRETARIES OR BE MEASURED IF THE CARD IS NOT AVAILABLE, BEFORE THE COMPETITORS NUMBER WILL BE RELEASED.

25. MOTORIZED VEHICLES: USEF GR1301.7 Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. 26. NUMBERS: Management will provide a number card for each competitor which shall be worn on the rider s back clearly visible to the judge at all times when in competition. Riders wearing the wrong number or no number at all may be eliminated from the class by the judge. 27. COURSES: Courses may consist of any combination of the following: Brush, Gate, Oxers, Panels, Post & Rails, Banks, Ditches, Coups, Logs, Barrels & Liverpools. The horse show management reserves the right to adjust fence heights or spreads in jumper classes as competition warrants. 28. POLING: Not allowed in California. 29. HARD HATS: USEF GR801.2 It is compulsory for all persons at Federation licensed hunter, jumper or hunter/jumper competitions when mounted anywhere on the competition grounds, to wear properly fastened protective headgear which meets or exceeds ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. It must be properly fitted with harness secured. Exception: In Hunter or Jumper classes, adults may be allowed to remove their headgear while accepting prizes and during the playing of the National Anthem only; they must refasten their headgear prior to the lap of honor. It is compulsory for riders in Paso Fino classes, both open and breed restricted including Hunter Hack, where jumping is required and when jumping anywhere on the competition grounds to wear properly fastened protective headgear which meets or exceeds ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. It must be properly fitted with harness secured. A Show Committee must bar riders without protective headgear from entering the ring for classes in which protective headgear is required and may bar any entry or person from entering the ring if not suitably presented to appear before an audience. 30. SAFETY: Accidents involving Competitors. GR849. In the event of a head injury due to a fall/accident at a licensed competition, the competitor may be prohibited from further competition until released by medical personnel. In some cases, the competitor may not return to competition without a signed release from a licensed medical professional. The competitor may be placed on suspension by USEF until this criteria is met. Competitors are advised to familiarize themselves with this new rule. 31. DOGS: USEF GR1301.6 Dogs are not permitted to be loose on competition grounds and must be held on a leash or otherwise restrained. Individuals must not lead dogs on a leash while mounted. Dog owners are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from their dogs behaviors. Dog owners failing to comply with this rule will be issued a Yellow warning card may be subject to penalty under Chapters 6 and 7. Management reserves the right to call Animal Control to have an animal removed from the premises. 32. TIME SCHEDULE/POSTED ORDER: Each day by 4pm the next day s time schedule will be available. This time schedule and/or posted orders will be strictly adhered to. The trainer, Competitor or other representative must tell the paddock steward of possible ring conflicts so that arrangements can be made to accommodate the rider as well as the time schedule. SCHOOLING SUPERVISION: Please be advised that paddock stewards are schooling supervisors and have absolute authority to scratch riders who do not follow USEF schooling rules. They can scratch riders without going through the USEF Steward or the Horse Show Manager. 34. ARENAS: All show and warm-up arenas consist of GGT footing. NON SHOWING POLICY: For any horse on the grounds not officially entered, owner or trainer of said horse must complete a entry blank and write in the in the area of the Entry Blank used for classes Non-Showing and sign the entry blank at the Horse Show Office, pay a $115 non showing fee, and stall fees. 37. 2019 ZONE 10 SPECIFICATIONS: Please see USHJA.org for current class specification with regards to; Children s Hunters, Adult Amateur Hunters, Pre-Green Hunter, Low Children s Jumpers, Low Adult Amateur Jumpers, Children s Jumpers, Adult Amateur Jumpers, Classics, Pony Jumper Championship & Junior Jumpers. 38. FEATURED JUMPER & HUNTER CLASSES: Featured class prize money will not be deducted from the statement and will be made payable to the payee or owner listed on the entry blank and mailed within 30 days after the show. Horses entering the same day may be required to go first. Jumper Stake Classes horses must have entered & paid for the entire respective division to be eligible to compete. Featured Classes added the same day will pay an additional post entry fee of $50. Featured Classes scratched the same day will receive no refund. 39. ARENA LIGHTS: Lights will be on in the Jumper Arena & Stable Mix Tuesday through Sunday 6am - 7am 40. EQUINE VACCINATION RULE GR845. At Federation licensed competitions horses, more than 7 months of age, entering the grounds must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to entering the stables. Horses not in compliance with this rule may be required to leave the competition grounds upon request by Competition Management. See USEF.org for outline of documentation required. 41. OPEN HUNTER CLASSIC: This is a 2 round hunter classic open to Green Hunters, 3, 3 3, 3 6, 3 9, High Performance Hunters, Performance Hunters 3 3 & 3 6. The first round will be a designated hunter class of the specific Hunter Section. For additional rules please see USEF.org, Rule HU173. 42. TRAINER SPLITS: This service allows trainers to split the show charges for miscellaneous items to their clients. Splits will be accepted until 5pm Friday any splits after Friday will subject to a $25 office charge. Only items billed by the horse show will be split. Splits will revert back to the trainer for payment if uncollected. FEED & BEDDING ORDERS AFTER 5PM FRIDAY WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE SPLIT. 43. JUMPER NOMINATION: Horse entered in any jumper class must be nominated and pay a $50 Jumper Nomination Fee. This fee is not required to be paid in advance and will automatically be added to your account when you enter any jumper class. This fee is only charged once. 44.
