Elementary Flag Football Info At this time, we have flag football coaches for grades 3, 4, and 5. We have to declare teams by October 23, so parents need to go online at docys.org and register for flag football. If your child played soccer, then they will use the soccer shirt for flag football. If your child does not have a shirt, you will need to put your shirt size online when you register. The cost for the sport is $60, and parents will pay online when they register. Parent Like A Champion Training All parents are required to attend a one-hour Parent Like A Champion training in order for their child to play any sport through Catholic Youth Sports. You can register for any workshop at other Catholic Schools on the CYS website. Follow the steps below to register: STEP 1) Go to http://catholicyouthsports.org STEP 2) Press the "Register Now" button STEP 3) Choose "Parent/Coach Education" STEP 4) Scroll down to find another training in Brevard County Interested in coaching a team at SMS? Anyone interested in coaching must be FBI fingerprinted through the Diocese of Orlando at Ascension Catholic School in Melbourne. No one can coach or be on the field with children until their fingerprints have fully cleared and they have viewed the Safe Environment Video online. Please see the St. Mary s School office for complete information. Coaches must also view the online Concussion Training Video (30 minutes) and print out a certificate that will be brought to the school office and kept on file.
