Participant s Guide 2018

This guide is for participants in Tremblant s 24h. In it, you will find all of the information you need to make sure your event goes smoothly. Should you require additional information, please contact us at info@24htremblant.com Team Registration Teams must register to receive the team kit. Opening hours of team registration office: Friday, December 7: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Location: Quartier Tremblant Base Camp at the base of the pedestrian village, Mont-Tremblant Resort Address: 1000 chemin Des Voyageurs, Mont-Tremblant, QC J8E 1T1 One kit only per team. Each team will designate a person to register the team and take possession of the kit. The kit contains: A tuque for all participants of the team Bib (s) and armbands (skiing and running) One or more timing chips according to the discipline One bracelet for each participant and one bracelet for an accompanying person Various promotional items Teams that have not reached the required minimum donation level will be asked to pay the remainder at registration to receive their kit and participate in the event. Minimum amount of donation to raise In fact, the team as a whole is responsible for raising a minimum of $300 in donations per participant. If the minimum has not been raised, the team must pay the balance when they register. 2

Donation Race INDIVIDUAL: The individual donation race ends at 10:00 p.m. Friday night, December 7. TEAM: The winning team will be determined by the total of funds raised. To tally up the totals for the TEAM donation race, the Tremblant 24h Foundation must receive all donations by Sunday, December 9 at 10:00 a.m. at the latest. Donations can be handed in after that point, but they will not be counted toward to TEAM donation race. Cash or cheque donations received during the 24h weekend must be deposited at the Registration Office (on Friday) or at the Info 24h Area throughout the weekend. The Loyalty Club The Loyalty Club is a rewards and incentive program to push participants in their fundraising efforts. Click here for full details: http://www.24htremblant.com/loyalty-club You can claim your prizes at the registration on Friday, December 7, between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. or at the Info 24h Area from Saturday 7 a.m.. Shuttle service Albi Volvo Sainte-Agathe offers participants a shuttle service between their accommodation and the 24h Tremblant site. Schedule: Friday from 12 p.m. until 2 a.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m. to Sunday 4 p.m. Pick-up points : - Sommet des Neiges - Rond-point du Marriott - Rond-point du Westin There is also a shuttle service offered from several hotels. Mandatory Information Meeting Saturday, December 8th / Transition Zones 9:00 a.m. Mandatory meeting for a least one member of each team. News and rules will be explained in detail as well as the conduct of the event. The meeting will be held in French, followed by a question period in English. One person per team will be permitted on the ski run at any given time. *Each team will be given an armband so that the participant doing the relay can access the relay area. Run: each team is assigned a single bib. One person per team will be permitted on the course at any given time. Teams are allowed an accompanying person (a participant), who must wear the designated armband in order to access the course. Walk and hybrid: Team members each have a bib and may all be on the course at the same time. Relays are left to your discretion. The emphasis is on participation, fun, and safety for all. * We ask you to bring back all the bibs at the end of the event. Bins provided for this purpose will be visible in transition zone. You can also report them to the Info 24h Area at any time. 4

Electronic Chips and Results Electronic chip team The timing chip calculates the number of turns done by each team in order to rank the team in the final RELAY results. Only one participant per team will wear this chip. SKI AND RUN Each team will be given one (1) team timing chip associated with the bib number. WALK Each participant will be given an individual timing chip as well as the team chip. HYBRID Each participant will be given an individual timing chip along with the team chip. Results for this category will be communicated individually and results by team will be communicated for informational purposes, considering the differences in the composition of hybrid teams. Teams are permitted a maximum of 12 walkers and/or runners on the course at any given time. Results are tallied from the end of the first completed turn. View the results live on our mobile site: http://www.24hmobile.ca * The chip does not belong to you and it costs 125 $. It will be charged if you lose it or if you forget to bring it back. Bins provided for this purpose will be visible in transition areas. You can also report it to the Info 24h Area at any time. 24h Official Start Saturday, December 8 11:00 a.m. Participants assemble in front of the Marriott Hotel 11:15 a.m. Departure ceremony 11:45 am. Opening parade NOON Official departure for all categories (ski, walk, run and hybrid) Transition Zones and Relay Areas Ski: At the base of the mountain. Transition zone: Demarcated area reserved exclusively for participants and one accompanying person. The organizers will give each team one (1) access pass to the transition zone for an accompanying person. Only teams in the Junior category will be allowed two (2) passes for accompanying persons. Participants must show their bracelet for access into the transition zone. Relay area: Each team will be given an armband so that the participant doing the relay can access the relay area. 5

Walk & Run: Located at the top of the Cabriolet. Services: Spinning bikes, warm-up and stretching equipment free for participants. Hot beverages. Transition zone: The organizers will give each team one (1) access pass to the transition zone for an accompanying person. Only teams in the Junior category will be allowed two (2) passes for accompanying persons. Participants must show their bracelet for access into the transition zone. Relay area: Relays must always be done in the relay area. Course and Runs Walk & Run: The course, a loop of approximately 4,7 km, is marked and partially lighted. Important: Between 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, participants must wear a front headlamp. Crampons are strongly recommended. See the map A reconnaissance of the course will be permitted on Friday, December 7 between 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. upon presentation of the participant s bracelet. See the map Ski: The Beauvallon Haut, Beauvallon Bas, Alpine and Bière-en-bas* runs are the official 24h runs. Participants will use the Télécabine Express lift. There will be no change of runs for day and night skiing. The entire Beauvallon run will be lighted as of 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. *Ski runs are subject to change without notice, depending on snow conditions. A preliminary reconnaissance of the ski runs will be permitted on Friday, December 7 between 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. upon presentation of a valid ski ticket and the participant s bracelet. First Aid In case of injury, ask for assistance from our uniformed mobile first aid teams. For an emergency at the base of the mountain, ask for assistance from a volunteer or event staffer wearing a bib. Lost & Found Drop by the Info 24h Area and a volunteer will be happy to help you. Medals Presentation Participation medals will be handed out in the transition zones starting at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 9. 24h Official End Sunday, December 9 11:30 a.m. Official countdown Noon Official end for all categories (ski, walk, run, hybrid) Closing Ceremony Announcement Top fundraisers Place: ROGERS STAGE Time: 12:15 p.m. Announcement of the official fundraising total. Prizes awarded to top 3 individuals, top 3 teams and top 3 multi-teams. Announcement General sporting results Place: Quartier Tremblant-Base Camp Time: 1:30 p.m. Presentation of top sporting results: ski, walk, run and hybrid. 7
