AHA Membership Requirements: All riders, drivers, owners, agents and halter handlers who exhibit horses in the show ring or sign entry forms as the responsible person for any individual s horses at the show must be a member of AHA or pay a single-event fee of $35.00 per horse. Copies of cards must be mailed with entries or single-event membership fee must be paid. Entries must be postmarked no later than August 8, 2016. The post entry fee for entries postmarked after Aug 8 will be an additional $15 per horse. Post entries will be accepted for a class prior to the closing of the previous session for an additional $2 per class for horses already entered in the show. No entries or stall reservations will be accepted over the phone. It is the obligation of the exhibitor to notify the show office of any change in rider, driver, handler or cancellation of entry. All entry, stall and miscellaneous fees must be paid in full and accompany the entry or entries will not be accepted. All checks must be in US funds. There will be a $30.00 handling fee charged on all checks returned for any reason. Postdated checks will not be accepted. Page 2

If owner and trainer are the same, the owner must sign as both owner and trainer. A parent or guardian signature is required for all junior exhibitors. If owner is a youth without a trainer, the parent must sign as trainer and does not have to be an AHA member or pay the AHA Single Event fee. 1) A readable copy of the registration certificate for each horse entered. 2) A readable copy of an AHA Competition Membership Card for each owner, rider, coach, handler and trainer. If a non-member is associated with the entry, then a SEM fee is due. 3) A copy of lease agreement, if horse is being leased. Leased horses are not eligible to show with lessee in owner classes unless the lessee and lessor are members of the same family. 4) A copy of sales contract or bill of sale if horse is not yet registered in the name of the person showing. If the horse is being purchased on contract, it should be entered in the name of the person who is purchasing the horse. A horse being purchased on a contract may not be shown in owners classes. General Information Admission to the Arena: No person may enter the space set aside for the judging or hold any communication with the judge without permission from the Show Committee, who will arrange an appointment with the judge at the proper place and time. Failure to comply with this request could result in disqualification from subsequent classes and forfeiture of all entries, prize money, trophies and ribbons. Age of Horse and Rider: For the purposes any horse shall be considered to be 1 year old on the first day of January following the actual foaling date. Junior exhibitors are those that have not reached their 18 th birthday by 12/01/2015. Amateur Owner and Junior Owner Classes: Horses entered in amateur owner/junior owner classes must be registered in the name of the competitor or a member of the competitor s family. Horses registered in a farm, ranch, syndicate, partnership or corporations name may be shown in amateur/junior owner classes provided the family is the sole owner of the farm or entity. (Contract of Sale or Bill of Sale will not be accepted in amateur/junior owner classes). Owners: An owner s class is one in which every contestant is an amateur and the rider or diver is the owner or amateur member of the owner s family. For show purposes the Family shall include the following: husband, wife, parent, step-parent, child, step-child, brother, sister, half-brother, half-sister, aunt uncle, niece, nephew, grandmother, grandfather and in-laws of the same relation stated above. Amateur Definition: Regardless of one s skills and/or accomplishment, a person is an amateur for all competitions conducted under AHA rules who after his/her 18 th birthday has not engaged in any activities which would make him/her a professional. Arenas: Main indoor arena is 120 x 245 with attached covered warm up arena 92 x 118. Top outside arena is 119 x 282 with lighting after dark. Attendants: All attendants must be neatly and properly dressed. Special attention should be given to dress and demeanor when entering the ring. Awards: Trophy to first in each class. There will be eight ribbons awarded in Performance Championships, Equitation and Junior Exhibitor classes and five ribbons awarded in all other classes. Bedding: One bale of wood shavings is provided with your stall fee. Additional bales are available for purchase at $7.00 a bale. Conduct: Cruelty to or the abuse or a horse by any person at a recognized show is forbidden. Excessive use of a whip on any horse in a stall, runway, schooling area, show ring, or elsewhere on the show grounds before or during a show, by any person, constitutes a violation and renders the offender subject to penalty. Discipline: Exhibitors are warned that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the officials on the part of the owner, trainer, groom or rider will disqualify the horse from adjudication. The Show Committee reserves the right to remove a horse, owner, rider or groom from the show without being liable for compensation or damages. It will be considered a violation to commit any act or make remarks during the show that are considered offensive or made with intent to influence or cast aspersions on the judging, and any exhibitor may be barred from the show for this offense. Dispute Not Covered by Rules: Should any question or dispute arise not provided for in the governing rules, the same shall be referred to the Show Committee whose decision shall be final. Protests: A protest, if filed, must be filed as set forth in AHA rules. Responsibility: The Arabian Horse Club of Central Washington will not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury to horses exhibited or for any article of any nature that may be lost or destroyed or in any way injured. Each exhibitor will be responsible for any injury that may be occasioned on any person, whomsoever, by any horse owned or exhibited by him, and shall indemnify the Association against all claims and demands of any kind or nature that may grow out of any injury occasioned by any horse owned or exhibited by him or arise from negligence of the person in charge of such horse. All horses will be exhibited in this show entirely at the owner s risk. Page 6

RV Hook Ups: 76 Full RV hookups are available as well as a shower and restroom facility. Parking on the grass in front of the show stalls is allowed, but there will be no horses allowed on the grass. Any vehicle or trailer used for camping purposes or parked on the grass must pay the Dry Camp fee. Scoring: The Arabian Scoring System will be used for all breeding and in-hand classes. Stabling: 20 (10 x 10 ) portable stalls and 72 (8 x10 ) show stalls are available. All stalls have half doors. Stalls will be available Friday through Sunday. Anyone wishing to arrive early should contact the Show Secretary. Stall assignment is based upon entry postmark date. Consideration will be given to travel. Only one horse per stall is allowed. All additional stalls will be considered Groom/Ready/Tack Stalls. Stallions: Stallions may not be shown by juniors in breeding (halter) classes at this show. Registration: Horses shown in the Arabian division must have been issued a certificate of registration from the Arabian Horse Registry of America, Inc. and/or the Canadian Arabian Horse Registry or, if under one year of age, be eligible for registry, and applied for and must be entered under their full registered name. Half-Arabians/Anglo-Arabians must be registered with the Arabian Horse Association in the Half-Arabian and/or the Anglo-Arabian registry, or be eligible for registration and applied for and must be entered under their full registered name. Rejection of Entries: Show Management reserves the right to reject any entry if it seems to be in the best interest of the show. Withdrawal of Entries: The Show Committee agrees to refund entry/stabling fees on any horse not fit to show provided written notice is given on or before the entry closing date of August 8, 2016. After closing date and up to 8:00 PM August 26, 2016, withdrawal must be accompanied by an Official Veterinarian Certificate.
