H2V 3E6 D) Girls program: double letter players. Please write to pasqualino.gioia@globalcrossing.com 2) To register online Please go to: https://registration.hockeycanada.ca/registration/?id=1906 YOUR INVOLVEMENT The minor hockey program is based solely on the contribution of volunteer parents. Year after year, and more particularly in recent years, the parents involvement has been in serious decline in our association. This may be due to the lack of information on the different ways in which one may contribute. It is not necessary to get involved for the whole season; there are periodic needs that may better suit your schedule. Here are some examples of how you could help: - Coaching, or assistant coaching (coaching staff may be comprised of three or four persons allowing more flexibility for everyone) - Team manager (not necessarily involved in training the players): oversees the team practice schedule, registers the team in tournaments, takes attendance, etc. - Equipment manager and team communications: works with the level coordinator in order to ensure that each team receives the proper and necessary equipment and information for a smooth team development. - Assistant level coordinator: helps out in preparing the team lists (for distribution of jerseys), communicates different information (i.e. game and practice schedules), etc. There are different situations that require occasional help, namely, during the minor hockey weekend at the end of the season, the distribution of jerseys at the beginning of the season, the preparation of the equipment for each team in the pre-season, and many more similar tasks. These responsibilities are left unattended year after year at every level. This neglect has a direct effect on the proper progress of our kids hockey season. We are aware that
some of these tasks are demanding, but we will do our best to support you should you decide to get involved. To facilitate the identification of those willing to volunteer, the registration form has a specific field for this purpose. If we do not have enough volunteers, we may have no other option but to limit the number of registrations, and this at all levels of the minor hockey program. Thank you for making our program a successful one by getting involved.
