Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to or including removal from the current season. By registering in the Northville Ski & Snowboard Club, you are agreeing to the following. 1. 2019 Registration procedures On Monday mornings of trip weeks an email survey will be sent out to all participants regarding the Friday Night trip. This survey is done through Google docs. The survey is due the Wednesday before the trip by 12:00pm. If the survey is not filled out by noon on Wednesday, your child may not be able to participate on Friday s trip if numbers and bus reservations are already made. The survey includes the following questions: First and Last Name of the Participant Email address for communication about trip Will you be participating in this week s Ski Club trip? o Please fill out survey even if you are not attending the trip. Do you need a lift ticket? o This question is for people who already used up their four tickets and want to participate in additional night (which is an extra fee of $28). Will you need a ski rental? (Helmet not included) Extra $15 fee Will you need a snowboard rental? (Helmet not included) Extra $15 fee Do you need to rent a helmet? Extra $5 fee Do you need a Ski Lesson? Extra $10 fee Do you need Snowboard Lessons? Extra $10 fee These questions are required by Mount Brighton and Trinity Bus Company when we make our weekly reservation, to make sure they have enough supplies/staff for the trip on Friday.

2. 2019 TRIP PROCEDURES- Friday Nights to Mt. Brighton Ski trips are scheduled for select dates to Mt. Brighton. Friday buses leave the Recreation Center at Hillside (RCH) at approximately 4:45pm and return approximately at 10:45pm. Participants are asked to arrive between 4:00 4:30pm for check in. It is required that your skis, poles and snowboards be put into a ski bag with your name and address on the bag and stowed under the bus for travel. All equipment should be individually marked with your name. All the equipment will be loaded into the buses before the group leaves RCH and will be unloaded at the ski area. Skiers/Snowboarders will pick up their equipment in the parking lot upon your arrival at Mt. Brighton. You must have your equipment on the bus before it leaves. No equipment will be allowed in the seating area of the buses. Backpacks or purses will be allowed in the seating areas. When you arrive at the RCH for the ski trips, you will be instructed to line up for the buses. As you board your bus, you will give your school picture ID card, driver s license or passport to the bus chaperone. NO ONE will be able to board the bus without their own current photo identification card NO EXCEPTIONS! Bring your ID card for every trip. When all the buses are loaded, they will depart together. It is the participant s responsibility to know the bus that they rode on to Mt. Brighton. Upon arrival to the RCH please check in with the Ski and Snowboard coordinators. Also during this time participants can purchase ski or snowboard rentals, helmets and/or lessons. Please try to bring correct change. If the staff does not have extra change, you may have to wait until we arrive at the ski area to get your ticket. After check in and purchase of tickets participants will immediately board the buses. Upon arrival at the ski resort, skiers/boarders will unload into the lot closest to the rental building. Participants needing rental equipment should go directly to the rental building. All other skiers should pick up their equipment from the bus and then go directly to their lesson or to open skiing. Chaperones will be around to help direct the participants to the correct areas. Skiers must meet back at the bus no later than 10:00pm; it is the participant s responsibility to keep track of the time and know what bus number to go back on. Skiers not arriving on time will not be allowed to ski the following week. Your ID card will be handed back to you as you board the bus (the same bus you arrived on). AT NO TIME WILL THERE BE ANY ONE WAY TRAVEL. MEMBERS MUST RIDE THE BUS TO AND FROM THE SKI AREA! NO EXCEPTIONS!

3. LESSONS Mt. Brighton - Ski School One hour group lessons are available for $10.00 per student per lesson at Mt. Brighton. Members are encouraged to take lessons until they pass the lesson on beginning parallel turns and quick stops at Mt. Brighton. Successful completion of any lesson is not noted by the coordinators. We encourage all participants to keep track of their own progress. 4. FOOD AND BEVERAGES Food and beverages can be purchased at Mt. Brighton or you may bring food to be consumed at the ski area. If you choose to bring and eat food and beverages on the bus, you must clean up your area before exiting the bus. If buses are left messy and littered, food on the buses may be prohibited. Mt. Brighton food is available for purchase at the Ski Hill Grille or the restaurant. There is also a brown bag area where food brought from home may be consumed. 5. ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES - FIRST AID All accidents and injuries must be reported to the Ski Patrol and to Ski Club coordinators. If the injury requires immediate medical attention, parents will be notified immediately and the skier may be taken to the nearest medical facility. Be certain you know the location of the Ski Patrol Building. PLEASE NOTE: All snowboarders are strongly encouraged to wear wrist guards! Both skiers & snowboarders are strongly encouraged to wear helmets. 6. DISCIPLINARY ACTION The following offenses will result in probation or suspension. Parents will be notified immediately. Parents will be notified immediately. Proper authorities may also be notified. *Delivering, distributing, possessing or using controlled or illegal substances, and/or alcohol *Smoking, including e- cigarettes/vaping and chewing tobacco

*Theft *Vandalism *Members already on probation who commit another violation The above violations may require a parent/guardian to pick up the skier at the ski area. Please note this is not an exhaustive list of all behavior which may result in disciplinary action. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS ON SUSPENDED MEMBERSHIPS! 7. WEATHER CONDITIONS In the event the weather conditions warrant cancellation of a ski trip, the decision to cancel will be made exclusively by Northville Parks and Recreation. To find out if a trip is canceled, it is the skier s responsibility to call the Weather Hotline, 248-449-9951, after 2:00 pm. on the day of the trip. Also, an email will be sent out to all participants. The Weather Hotline will have an up-to-date recorded message ONLY if the trip is canceled. Please do not call the office on Fridays of the trip, the coordinators are not usually in the office. Please check the weather hotline or check your email. If a trip is canceled we do not have the ability to give out passes to participants who wish to go with their own transportation, based on the agreement with Mount Brighton. Please keep in mind that weather conditions can vary a great deal between Northville and the ski areas. Skiing conditions may look unfavorable here, but may be favorable at the ski areas due to snow making equipment and grooming. Northville Parks and Recreation takes the safety of the participants, with both transportation and weather conditions at the mountain, into consideration regarding canceling a trip. 8. Ski Club Fees The resident fee for Ski and Snowboard Club 2019 will be $225.00. Included in the package is roundtrip transportation on a motor coach and four lift tickets.
