April 5, 2008 Wild Marsh open the season with the annual Spring Shooting Fair. Top Scores of the day were: HOA ~ Ed Saugestad, 98 Yth ~ Colt Saugestad, 71 Lady~ Linda Peterson 64 May 24 & 25, 2008 we held our first Members Welcomer Weekend. Discounts were offered on shooting that day, free hotdogs, door prizes and special buy one get one free coupons could be purchased for the rifle range and 3D Archery course. June 14, 2008 was the Sherburne County Pheasants Forever Kids Day. About 100 youth were introduced to sporting clays, duck & goose calling, fish casting, dog training & retrieving, target shooting at the 22 rifle range all under the strict supervision of the dozens of adult volunteers who participated to guarantee a fun and safe Kids Day at Wild Marsh. The kids also enjoyed free hotdogs and souvenir T-shirts. Dozens of kids also were awarded prizes during the door prize drawing, thanks to the many donations from local businesses. Shooters participated in the Wild Marshian 100, 3 100 target main events for 20, 28 &.410. Three games were also offered for a chance to win a Henry Golden Boy Rifle. 108 shooters shot the Wild Marshian event. A second 50 target course was set up called the Dixie Cup. Shooters were able to shoot 20, 28 &.410 on this fun short course. Also available was a 100 target Preliminary course and the 5 stand game. 74 NSCA punches were awarded in all.
