Anyone wishing to stall throughout the week should make their request at that time and MUST stay through Saturday. No stalls will be provided unless an animal is entered and shown in a Light Horse/Horse Show class. Animals stalled must be shown. All stall requests should be sent to beckys1trickpony@gmail.com. Exhibitor will inspect stall before stalling the horse. Report any stalling problem before stalling animal. Stalls must be cleaned by 8:00 AM each day and refuse disposed of as the Superintendent may direct. 4-H stalling is for Sept. 3 ONLY. Open class horses cannot come in until Sunday after 1:00 PM PLEASE CHECK WITH LIVESTOCK OFFICE BEFORE PLACING HORSE IN STALLS. ENTRY FORMS: Can be found on line at www.funatthefair.com Horses to be entered under the OWNER S name and should be the same name that appears on the horse s registration papers. Entry forms must be complete and legible copies of the horse s registration papers front and back must accompany the entry. You must also include a copy of the front and back of your current membership card. Group classes to be entered and shown under Sire or Dam s name and registration number respectively. All entry forms must be completed, signed, with attached copies of registration papers and CURRENT membership cards and fees paid before 5:00 PM on the day prior to the show or entry will be scratched from the class. ( No class changes will be made after 5:00 pm the day prior to the show. ) Ages must be computed from January 1st. Incomplete entry forms will not be entered.

Any youth entries must include the youth s name, address and birth date. PASSES: $20.00 Exhibitor full week pass (1 pass allowed per exhibitor) $10.00 Exhibitor 1/2 week pass 1 pass per 1 animals may be purchased by the Caretaker. (Tickets are non-transferable) SPECIAL DEPARTMENT RULES: Competition is defined as a contest for supremacy between two or more animals, products, or articles owned by separate exhibitors. WHERE THERE IS NO COMPETITION IN A CLASS NO PREMIUMS WILL BE PAID. A. PREMIUMS PAID TO OWNER OF ANIMAL EXCEPT IN THE CHILDREN S PONY CLASS. B. Each exhibitor is responsible for providing all necessary information for show reports to the Livestock Office before their class begins. Management will not be responsible for animals not reported due to lack of information. C. Vaccinate all horses coming to the EISF against the Equine Herpes Virus (Rhino). It comes in a 2-way vaccine that is inexpensive and effective, Pneumabort K is one example that has proven to help prevent the neurological form. The vaccine isn't perfect, but it will help minimize the virus. D. Horses entered in Performance Halter classes cannot enter in other AQHA halter classes and must provide proof that the horse has already earned the ROM in performance. 1st and 2nd place in Performance Halter will be eligible to compete in Grand and Reserve Champion. BEDDING: Bags of Shavings can be purchased in the Livestock Office @ $8.00 each. The use of straw is prohibited in the Light Horse barn. Your 1st bag of shaving is provided. MONDAY Gaited 9:00 AM - Dept HS - Performance Entry Fee $10.00 per class

A. These classes are jointly sponsored by the Eastern Idaho Gaited Horse Association (EIGHA) and the Eastern Idaho State Fair (EISF) B. All western classes require western tack and clothing. English classes require English tack and clothing (e.g. attire and saddle suitable for saddle seat classes). Any tack and clothing is acceptable for open classes as long as the clothing and tack are consistent (e.g. no mixing of western bridle, Aussie saddle, T-shirts, and Panama hat). C. Anyone riding any attire other than English must use a leverage (shank) bit and one hand on the reins; horses 5 and under in a snaffle bit may be ridden with two hands. One finger may be placed between split reins. Romal reins may not be split by a finger on the rein hand; romal to be held at least 16 inches from the rein hand. D. Novice means a horse or rider who has never won a 1st place (blue ribbon) in a performance class prior to this show. E. It is recommended that Juveniles 17 and under wear a safety helmet in all classes. Helmets are optional for adults in any and all classes. EIGHA has some helmets available upon request; otherwise headgear should be appropriate to the attire. F. Prohibited items: training aids of any kind, such as but not limited to, tiedowns, running martingales, dropped cavesons: action devices such as chains or rollers or shoes heavier than a traditional lite shoe. Feet must be no longer than 41/2. Determination of prohibited items is at the discretion of the judge and/or the show committee. G. No entry fee required for Children s Lead Line or Championship classes. No premium paid for these classes - ribbons will be sponsored by EIGHA. H. Backing of horse required in most show gait classes.
