OEM Liquid-Flowmeter (With State-of-the-Art Technology) Rev.: 1.2 Seite 1 / 6
OEM-Liquid-Flowmeter Functional Principle The OEM Liquid-Flowmeters are working with ultrasound according to the Time-of-Flight (ToF) technique. Piezoelectric sensors are sending and receiving ultrasonic sound waves. In the direction of flow the sound wave is accelerated and is decelerated against the direction of flow. The difference of both acoustic runtimes is proportional to the flow. Advantages: Maintenance-free No problems with hydraulic shocks and polluted media Widely independent of temperature and electrical conductivity Nearly without any time lag Pulsating flows (e.g. because of use of diaphragm pumps) are possible No moving parts No damage because of too high flows Highest long-term stability Lowest pressure loss Irrespective of its position Detection of flow direction Empty tube and air bubble detection Leakage detection Overview Model Range Brass PPA Nominal Size DN20...DN25 DN15...DN25 Material of Flow Tube Brass PPA GF40 Process Connection Threated Connection Threated Connection Maximum Media Temperature 90 C 50 C Pressure Rating PN16 Signal Output Voltage Output * *Modbus and other signal outputs possible on request Rev.: 1.2 Seite 2 / 6
