RULES SHEET 01. USGA Rules of Golf, effective January 1, 2019, will govern all play except as modified by local rules of the course being played. It is each player's responsibility to know the Rules of Golf. 02. Scorecards must be exchanged with players in the other cart for tournament scoring purposes. Failure to do so will result in disqualification 03. Players must play from the teeing ground that is identified by the CSRA tee marker. 04. Players are expected to keep up with the group in front of them and should play in 4 hours and 15 minutes. The CSRA Slow Play policy will be in effect. 05. Players shall play the ball down unless instructed otherwise on the day of play. 06. For all play, a player may use a device to measure distance only. If a player uses a function to measure other conditions that might affect play (e.g. gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.) the player is in breach of Rule 4.3a-1. The penalty is disqualification. 07. Players should ensure that any electronic device taken onto the course does not distract other players. If a player consistently disregards these guidelines (Etiquette; Behavior on the Course) during a round or over a period of time to the detriment of others, it is recommended that the Committee consider taking appropriate disciplinary action against the offending player. 08. All putts must be holed out, except when playing USGA 2019 Maximum Stroke Rules.(Rule 21.2) When a player reaches a total of 11 strokes, including penalty strokes, she should pick up her ball without penalty or disqualification and proceed to the next hole. She would record a score of 11x for that hole. 09. When a player picks up her ball deciding to withdraw from competition she must discontinue all play immediately, stop scoring and remain in the cart without assisting or participating further. 10. If in doubt about a Rule or procedure, the player should announce that she is playing two balls (Rule 20.1c-3) and ask for a ruling from the Rules Committee when play is finished and before the scorecard is signed. Regardless of the outcome of the play of the two balls, the player MUST inform the Rules Committee prior to turning in her scorecard. Any and all disputes or decisions on rules should be referred to the Rules Committee, whose decision is final. This is for stroke play only. 11. Scorecards should be turned in to the scoring table or area before returning to the parking lot to unload bags. 12. All score cards must be signed and attested prior to being turned in. A card is considered to be officially submitted when the player has signed her card, handed it to a scoring official, and left the scoring area. 13. All ties in stroke-play tournaments will be broken by scorecard playoffs using the methods adopted by the, which is based on the best score for the last nine holes. If the tying players are still tied, the winner is determined based on the last six holes, the last three holes, and finally the 18 th. If still tied, the front nine total is used, then holes 4-9, then holes 7-9, then hole #9. IN THE MONTENYOHL CHAMPIONSHIP: Ties for the Champion and the runner-up, will be broken by an on-course sudden-death playoff, starting on a designated hole.
