Extreme Gnarly Griffith University Orientation Escape The eastern most point on the Australian coastline is home to the more alternative communities of Oz. This small seaside town has drawn those seeking a more relaxed lifestyle from all over the country, and various parts of the world. This weekend allows you to play on this awesome coastline, while still learning to surf, heading out for a paddle in a sea kayak, a bit of hiking and much more. Our accommodation is centrally located, close to all the local nightspots which have been organized to guarantee that it s not only the days that involve you getting to know your fellow students. Sure you can do Byron yourself, but why would you when the ultimate way to kick off your time down under is right here. PLEASE NOTE TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE A CONFIRMED PICK UP TIME WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT THE GRIFFITH ORIENTATION SESSION. Day One 22 nd February FRIDAY Day One 22 nd February, Friday (meals included Dinner) 4.00Pm Pick up Nathan Campus (The Circuit Bus Stop). 5.00Pm Pick up Gold Coast Campus, (Parklands Drive Bus Stop) 6.30pm Arrive in Byron bay. Check in to your rooms freshen up and meet by the pool for drinks and dinner. After dinner it s time to check out Byron Bay's nocturnal activities. Day Two 23 rd February, Saturday (meals included - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) Day Two 23 rd February SATURDAY 8.00am Breakfast at Hostel. 9.00am Head down to the beach for either surfing lessons or sea kayaking with dolphins. 11.00amSwitch over activities. 1.00pm Switch activities if needed. For those with free time lunch will be served by the pool, and some beach games will begin! 3.00pm Free afternoon to just chill out, or maybe try sky diving/whale watching.
Day Three 24 th February, Sunday (meals included Breakfast, Lunch) Day Three 24 th February SUNDAY 8.00am Breakfast at Hostel, and time to pack up. 9.00am Now we'll head down to the beach get any activities done that you haven t done yet! 2.30pm Meet back at your accommodation and prepare for the hike to the lighthouse, Australia s most eastern point! 4.30 Head back to campus.
