AT ARMS Sarah Talahongva talahongva05@yahoo.com MEMBER OF THE MONTH SCOTT & PAIGE NETT The Netts have been members of Copperstate Mustang Club for 7 years. they have been involved in many activities over the years including Scott being president, Paige being secretary and both being involved in many shows, including the National MCA show that Copperstate did several years ago. They have enjoyed participating in the shows, cruises and other events. Unfortunately, we have not seen Paige and Scott as much in recent years as much of their time was spent with their daughter (Sarah) who went to college at NAU and recently graduated. Now they are trying to help her find a place of her own as she moved back in with them. They admit, "No matter what anyone says, it is nice having her around." Paige and Scott still have their 2 toys; a '68 Coupe and 07 GT Convertible which is Scott's daily driver. Scott says, "Having a black daily driver is not the smartest thing we have done, but hey, the top goes down when the weather is nice and it is just fun to play with." They also participate in parades with the convertible. They love taking the 68 on cruises, whether it be to the Pavilions or to Route 66 Car Show in Flagstaff. They believe that, "It is always a good feeling when another car goes by and honks or gives you the old "thumbs up". There is something nice about driving the old cars, with the windows down of course, to relive your teen years or those days you spent helping your dad work on the car." For those of you that do not know Paige and Scott, they recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and Paige turned 50. They celebrated by vacationing for a week in Alaska. Scott had lived on Kodiak Island when he was younger and all of the mountains, green vegetation, and large mosquitoes brought back fond memories. The couple were able to fly around Mt. McKinley, fish for salmon, see whales, dolphins, and sea lions and see what real rain is like. If any of you are thinking of vacationing in Alaska, go for it!
