SURREY MAYORS CUP 2019 TOURNAMENT RULES STAY CONNECTED Game Schedules, Game Fields and Standings will be updated right away n the website www.surreymayrscup.cm. ROSTER ALL TEAMS MUST SUBMIT A ROSTER BEFORE FEB 25 TH 2018 OR WITHIN TWO DAYS IF REGISTER AFTER FEB 25TH. THE ROSTER FORM WILL BE EMAILED TO EVERY TEAM AFTER REGISTRATION. RULES Hme team is listed first and is respnsible fr supplying the game ball and changing jerseys r wearing pinnies (r alternate jerseys) if there is a clr clash. All players must carry sme pht identificatin in case f any prtest All teams must carry a first aid kit, game ball and pinnies. Referee s decisin n the play shall be final One player can nly play n ne team thrughut the turnament and the name f the player must be n the team list prvided at the headquarters. Substitutins are unlimited The behavir f the team players and their supprters is the respnsibility f the team fficials. Abuse f the game r turnament fficials will nt be tlerated. Games must start n time. Games will end n later than five (5) minutes befre the next scheduled game, regardless f time played. Any team that fails t arrive t the park within 10 minutes f the game starting time withut reasn will be cnsidered t have frfeited the game. Only team staff will be allwed t be at the team bench. A female designate must be present at the team bench f all female teams. N parents and/r spectatrs are allwed inside the fenced part f the synthetic turf fields. This rule will be strictly enfrced. Referees are BCSA registered and must have the full supprt f players, team fficials and spectatrs. Any referee abuse will be reprted t the apprpriate district discipline cmmittee. Players receiving a red card will be ejected frm the turnament immediately and will be reprted t the apprpriate district discipline cmmittee. Referee s game reprt will be final and n prtests will be accepted. Any players receiving mre than 3 accumulative yellw cards in the turnament will als be ejected frm the turnament.
TOURNAMENT HEADQUATERS Mayrs Cup Turnament headquarters will be Newtn Athletic Park and the address is 7395-128 Street Surrey, BC. Fd Cncessin will be available at Newtn Athletic Park, Hjrth Rd Park, Suth Surrey Athletic Park and Clverdale Athletic Park. First Aid will be available at Newtn Athletic Park. Turnament Apparel is available n site at Newtn Athletic Park and Suth Surrey Athletic Park. TEAM REGISTRATION PACKAGE PICK-UP All teams MUST reprt t the turnament headquarters at Newtn Athletic Park, address: 7395 128 Street befre their first game t pick up their participatin packages. The Turnament packages shall be available fr pickup at the fllwing times: Wednesday March 13 th, 2019 frm 5.30 PM t 9.00 PM Thursday March 14 th, 2019 frm 5.30 PM t 9.00 PM Friday March 15 th, 2019 frm 9.00 AM t 10.00 PM Saturday March 16 th, 2019 frm 8.00 AM t 11.00 AM Please nte that a cmpletely filled cpy f the Team rster must be EMAILED prir t the Registratin Package released t the team. The package will include imprtant infrmatin including yur schedules, rules f play, scre reprting inf, directins t fields in Surrey, game MVP medals, player suvenirs and cupns etc. At the end f every game, yur team will pick a game MVP frm the ppsite team. Teams will meet in the center f the field and bth caches will annunce the MVP frm the ppsing team. Every game will have a MVP and ne player can nly receive the MVP award fr nly ne game. The MVP nminated will then g t the center f the field t cllect their MEDAL frm the ppsing team. TO PRESERVE OUR GRASS FIELDS ABSOLUTELY NO WARM UP IN THE PENALTY AREA (18 YARD BOX)
SCORE REPORTING The Mayrs Cup screkeeping cmmittee will call all team managers within 15-30 minutes f the cmpletin f their games t cllect scres. If the team manager has nt been reached by the SMC scre keeping cmmittee within 30 minutes f the cmpletin f their game they shuld reprt the scres at the numbers listed belw. Please cnfirm scres with referee and ppsing team cach at the end f every game t avid dispute. Fr the mst part, teams cmpete against teams in the same age grup and same caliber. The turnament executives have the right t place teams in apprpriate grupings t facilitate the turnament. GAME DURATION U-9 Huse Bys and U9/U10 Huse girls will play 40 minutes (tw 20 minute halves, 7v7) U-10 Develpment Girls, U 10 Bys, U-11 and U-12 (bys and girls) will play 50 minutes (tw 25 minute halves, 8v8) U-13 t U-18 will play 60 minutes (tw 30 minute halves, 11v11) There is n extra time fr injury and half time break is ging t be fr 3 minutes. PLAYER RULES Players must be registered with BCSA: Castal, in the 2015-2016 Seasn, Interir, in the 2016 seasn r their respective reginal assciatin. If a team needs t pick up players t cmplete their rster, the players can nly play n ne team during the turnament. Players must be equal r less than the caliber f the team they are being picked up by (fr example, a Gld player can either play Gld r Metr, nt Silver r Brnze). In additin, a player cannt play fr a lwer age grup than they are registered t play in that year (fr example, a U-13 player cannt play n a U-12 team). Any exceptins must be authrized by the turnament directr in writing and nted n the Team List OFFICIAL SCORING U8-12 N standing t be recrded as every player receives medals fr participating U13 t U18 - All levels Maximum pints that can be awarded are 3 per game. If game is tied at end f regulatin time, a 3 player sht ut will ccur. If a game is tied at the end f regulatin play, then a 3 player sht ut will take place immediately after the game. If at the end f the shtut, the teams are still tied, then a sudden death sht ut will take place. Only players that were n the field at the end. Each team will alternate players until a winner is decided. If necessary, n player will sht twice until all players n the team have taken a sht. Scring Example: 3 pints t the winning team, 0 pints t the lsing team. Each team awarded 1 pint fr the tie at end f regulatin time Sht ut win - 2 pints t the winning team, 1 pint t the lsing team. 3 pints t the winning team, 0 pints t the lsing team. Frfeit r Abandned game will scre 2-0 win. (Frfeit can als jepardize the team s ability t further participate in SMC) N mre than a maximum f 3 pints can be awarded in any game. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION All medals will be handed ut n Sunday after the scres are reprted and there is a cnfirmed first, secnd and third place team. We trust that all teams will be respectful f the Turnament Rules. All disputes shall be submitted in persn within 45 minutes f the finish f the match at the turnament headquarters (Newtn Athletic Park). The prtest must be in writing with a cmplete descriptin n the reasn fr prtest as well as cmplete game infrmatin. There shall be a fee f $50.00 t file a prtest and is nly refundable if the prtest is successful.
