He scored five runs and drove in three as the Broncs went 4-0 on the week. He raised his batting average from.327 to.361 and three of his 10 hits were doubles. Pitcher of the Week Cole Uebelhor RHP So. St. Anthony, Ind. IPFW Cole pitched a 10-inning complete game shutout at Big Ten opponent Iowa in leading IPFW to a 1-0 victory. Cole walked the lead-off batter and would not surrender another free pass. Cole took a no-hitter into the fifth and surrendered only four total hits including one in the 10th. Uebelhor recorded four strikeouts in the process leading IPFW to the biggest win in school history. Iowa was at 69 RPI last week in the Psuedo RPI page. Others Nominated: Adam Bruce, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi; Ricky Ibarz, Texas-Pan American; Jake Laber, North Dakota State; Chris Perez, NYIT. Co-Newcomer of the Week Zach Harris C/DH Sr. Shawnee, Kan. Northern Colorado Harris, a transfer from Missouri State, hit.417 (5-for-12) with five hits, four runs, a home run, six RBI and a.667 slugging percentage in a three-game set at BYU last week. In the opener, Harris hit a first inning home run (his fifth of the season) to put the Bears up 2-0 (they would eventually lose 4-3); he finished that game 2-for-4. After going hitless in the middle game of the series (a 3-2 extra inning loss), Harris rebounded in the finale, going 3-for-5 with three runs scored and four RBI in the Bears 11-7 victory. Co-Newcomer of the Week Cory Jordan 3B Jr. Columbus, Texas Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Jordan led the team with a.462 average in four games with four RBI and two runs scored last week. In a mid-week doubleheader sweep of Sam Houston State, Jordan was 5-of-8 with four doubles and three runs batted in. He hit his fourth home run of the season on Sunday against Texas-Pan American.
