PGA Fantasy 2017 our 21st year heimbj@yahoo.com General Rules Salary Cap / Number of Players Create your own Fantasy Golf Team by picking up to 12 golfers. You have a salary cap of $25,000,000 based on 2016 earnings. Past history: $25m (2015-16), $20m (2011-14), $19.5m (2010) Weekly (by Tournament), Monthly, and Yearly payouts based on official PGA Tour money won by your players. Each golfer could be selected by more than one owner. Entry Deadline No entries will be accepted after Wednesday January 4. Any owner who has not paid by the post-marked date of Thursday, January 5, will be dropped from the league. Web Site All information during the year will be communicated via the internet. There will be a short audit and inquiry period at the end of the season - then the checks will be mailed. Entry Fee Each team you select will cost $75. Selection Process An interactive selection application will be placed on the web. Directions will be on the web site on how to select your team. Clarification: Please get your team submitted as soon as possible. If an injury or news regarding a player comes up after you have selected your team, you will be able to make changes without taking up a transaction. I will publish the teams the morning of the first tournament at that time, you will not be able to make a free transaction. Player Cost The top 125 official PGA finishers from 2016 will have their cost is based on their 2016 earnings. Some non-pga players might have their cost adjusted due to the money they actually won in our events last year. Any other player selected will cost you $745,000, as long as they did not make over the minimum cost. This will include non-pga tour players. You can choose any player that might earn money during a PGA event listed under the Tournament Schedule below. 2
Transactions Deadlines You will be allowed to make two (2) transactions. See the chart below: Trans # Transaction Period Before 1 Now thru Wed April 5 Masters 2 Now thru Wed June 14 US Open The deadline for the activation of your transaction is 11:59 PM (EST) on the Wednesday of the week of each tournament. For those tournaments that begin on Wednesday, deadline will be Tuesday at 11:59 PM EST. The new golfers will generate earnings for your team for the current week s tournament(s) through the end of the season. You may not pick up a player in any transaction that you dropped in any previous transaction. (My application cannot handle this type of transaction) You may not drop a player in transaction that you picked up in any transaction. (This is a rule only because of my payouts for best transactions ) NOTE - I will let you make this move, but you will not be considered for the best transactions payout. Transaction Selection Process All transactions will be made via the web site this year. There will be a special link to register your transaction. It is your responsibility to verify that the change has been processed by the website. Make sure you double check the site after your transaction. Transaction Definition The following defines a transaction. A transaction can involve at most three golfers. Possible Examples: Drop Pick-up 1 Player 1 Player 1 Player 2 Players 2 Players 1 Player 0 Players 3 Players 3 Players 0 Players Each golfer s cost will be based on his original cost from the beginning of the year.
