Championship Final Win For Senior7 s Last Monday afternoon was the fourth time this season that Na Fianna and Naomh Barróg had met. A decisive win for Naomh Barróg in the league, an equally decisive win for Na Fianna in the first group match of the championship, and a tense nail-biting draw in last weeks final, set the scene for this replay. It was an ideal day for camogie in Parnell s GAA, and both teams played their part in ensuring this was one of the games of the season. Na Fianna started brightly, and led by two points to nil at the end of the first quarter. Naomh Barróg rallied to register 1-2 without reply. We then scored a free just before half time to leave us trailing 1-2 to 0-3 at the break. The girls were determined not to let this game slip, and came out like women possessed in the second half, totally dominating the exchanges all over the pitch. Scores were still hard to come by, but two goals and a point without reply, left Na Fianna in the driving seat going into the last ten minutes. This is a good Naomh Barróg side and they fought hard as the clock ticked down. But to the delight of the large Na Fianna support in attendance, we matched them score for score, until the very welcome sound of the final whistle. Full time: Na Fianna 2-6 Naomh Barróg 1-5 3ú Samhain 2017 2

As you will know, St Patrick s College Drumcondra is now part of DCU, so all those who graduated from St Pats are also more than welcome.
