Weekend Action Great results from our adult football teams during the week with wins for Seniors, Inters, Junior B s and a good win for our AFL10 s in Junior D championship. Looking to repeat success this weekend when on Saturday at 6.30pm, Seniors travel to Dolphin Park to play Templeogue Synge Street and Inters host St. Vincents in Mobhi Road. Then on Sunday at 11am, both Junior teams play away, A s travel to Cuala and B s travel to Portobello. Later at 3pm, our AFL10 team play Pavee in Collinstown. Full fixture list on website, best of luck to all teams, all support welcome. Player Of The Month Congratulations to our May Players of the Month pictured above, following receipt of their awards. Pictured l/r; Danny Flaherty (Hurling), Eamonn Rainsford (Ebano, Player of the Month sponsors), Meadhbh Ni Dhálaigh (Handball), Leah Caffrey (Ladies Football), Des Ó Dubhlainn (Cathaoirleach CLG Na Fianna), Ciara Berkeley (Camogie) and Niall Cooper (Football). 2 Na Fianna s Dubs Good luck to Dublin s Premier Junior Camogie team including including Gráinne Ryan, Ellen Keatley and Cliona McCullough in Sunday s Championship match against Roscommon. Best fo luck to Dublin s Senior Ladies including Leah Caffrey and Lucy Collins in Sunday s TG4 Leinster final against Laois in O'Moore Park. Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football Association has joined forces with Breast Cancer Ireland to help raise awareness of breast cancer whilst also supporting the charity s Lace Up For A Cure Campaign. To raise awareness of the Lace Up For A Cure campaign the Dublin squad will wear the pink laces in Sunday s Leinster Final. Well done to Dublin s Minor Footballers in Thursday night s comprehensive win over Offaly in the Leinster MFC semi-final. The starting fifteen had four Na Fianna reps on board; Aaron Byrne, Eoghan McHugh, Eoin Murchan and Glen O Reilly and the panel included Jack Carey, Cathal Doran and Al Fitzgerald. The lads will now face Kildare in the Leinster final on Sunday week. 11ú Iúil
Club Lotto This week s Na Fianna Club Lotto winning numbers were; No jackpot winner this week but congrats to our two Match 3 winners getting 65 each, Tom Ryan and Jaze c/o Vinny, This week s Lucky pick winners: 15 each, were Fionnuala Neville, Niamh Cloherty, Al Sheehy c/o Vinny, Mary French c/o Vinny and Mary Jenkins c/o Vinny Next jackpot 7,250, please support. Members Subscriptions Members are reminded that subscriptions for the current year became due and payable immediately following the Club s AGM last October. All GAA Registrations were submitted on 1 st April as per regulation, and any member whose membership was unpaid on that date was not included in this Registration as per Club policy. The consequences of this are that unregistered players are no longer insured to play or train and do so at their own risk. In addition, teams playing unregistered players could be adjudged an illegal team and suffer the loss of points and even elimination from competitions. Members subs can be paid in the bar on Wednesday nights between 6.30pm and 9pm and again on Saturday mornings from 9am to 11am. Payments by card, cheque and cash will be accepted. Subscriptions can also be paid at the club office, Mon to Fri, 9am to 1pm. 11ú Iúil

Our ladies will be looking for huge support on the night as they contest their sixth final in fourteen years. Na Fianna GAA Summer Camps 2014 Details of this year s Na Fianna Summer Camps are shown below. This week s camp, the first, was a huge success and with the great weather the numbers attending were high. A number of places are still available for next week s camp but hurry because the weather forecast looks good and places are filling up fast. Parents are asked to register their children as soon as possible so as to avoid disappointment. Registrations can be made online (see below) or by dropping completed forms into the club office, Mon-Fri 9am to 1pm. Parents are further requested to ensure that their children are registered for camps in plenty of time so as to avoid unnecessary delays on the first morning of camps. 5 2002 Girls Take Spoils in Isles Tournament Na Fianna 2002 girls were delighted to be invited to take part in the inaugural Alan Cregan Camogie Tournament in Erins Isle. This U12 tournament has been going for many years, and this was the first year that there was a girl s side to it. We were thrilled to be able to supply two teams. Our usual yellows and blues were completely mixed around for a change, and a Pink team was powerfully managed by Rachel Rogers and Paula White, and a Purple team capably looked after by Cormac Ó Donnchú and Lesley Jamieson. The Pink team played two very strong games to top their group and reach the semi-finals. The Purple team took a little longer to settle down, and with three draws under their belt it was necessary to play out a penalty shoot out against St. Finians, where they held their nerve and came out victorious to reach the semi-finals. Just when we thought that the day was going Na Fianna s way we discovered that Na Fianna Pink had to play Na Fianna Purple in the semi final! This was a thrilling 30 minute match, with nothing between the two sides, everything to play for, and all friendships now out the window! With just 30 seconds to go the Purple team scored a mighty goal to reach the finals. 11ú Iúil
The final was another thriller, this time against Erin s Isle the host team. Both teams played a superb match in the most sporting manner, with Na Fianna just edging past Erin s Isle to become champions on the day. This was a fantastic day, and congratulations to Erin s Isle on being excellent hosts providing lunch, a well stocked tuck shop, (along with pool, videos and other entertainment available for our players, siblings etc.), and a very well organised day. The day s success by the Na Fianna teams more than made up for the girls disappointment the previous week when they were narrowly beaten by a single point in extra time in the final of the Ger Canavan Tournament by St. Brigids. The girls deserve huge congratulations for making it all the way to the final. 11ú Iúil
Juvenile Handball Presentation Night Na Fianna s Handball section held their Juvenile Presentation night recently, see selection of awards photos below, and Frank Daly tells the story and reviews the year. A great night was had by all in Mobhi road on Fri 20th June when we had nearly forty kids enjoying the presentations and a bit of grub. These young kids, boys and girls are really a pleasure to look after and we look forward to having them back training in September. We will let the parents know when we are starting back in August. I would like to thank all the mentors Cliona Ui Dhalaigh, Aine O Gorman, Meabh Smith, Paul Grall, Christy Donnelly and all the parents whom without their help all this would be impossible. This has been a great year for Handball in the Club. We competed in the Dublin Championships and did very well. We went on tour to Armagh and Williamstown and competed very well in both these venues. We had a great trip to Williamstown in Galway and 11ú Iúil
spent the weekend there and hope to travel again next year to two events, probably in Inis Oir and Wialliamstown again. We are going from strength to strength so let s keep up the good work heading into next year. The court has been partially painted and a one wall court marked out on front wall. It will be finished over next two weeks hopefully and we intend opening the alley on Sunday mornings from 10.30am to 12.30pm, after the paint job is finished, for any kids that want to come and play a bit of One wall for fun. Championship Tickets Details on the ticket ordering process for match tickets for Dublin s next Championship outing, the Leinster Final against Meath in Croke Park on Sunday 20 th July, are now available to view on the club website Don t forget that the Minors also play their Leinster Final against Kildare on same date and venue. Orders with money to Padraigín Bhreathnach c/o Bar by 8pm on Sunday 13th July and tickets will be distributed in Bar on Thursday 17th July between 10pm and 11pm only. See club website for ticket prices. Members should note that details of ticket orders made through the club will be used as basis for allocating tickets later in the Championship. 11ú Iúil
End of Summer Disco Fundraiser The 2001 girls group are getting their Féile planning off to a start with an "End of Summer" disco to be held in Na Fianna on Friday the 22nd August. This fundraising event is targeted at the Club s 200 and 2001 boys and girls. A strictly ticket-only event, tickets will be on sale through the Club from 15 th August. A great way to ease back into a bit of normality..and finally The June edition of the Croke Park Club newsletter is available from the following link Fógra Tabachtach The objective of is to communicate as much club activity as possible however it is important to note that all items for inclusion in either Club Notes or are reported to pro.nafianna.dublin@gaa.ie or texted to by Sunday evening. With a membership of 2700 and approx 100 teams now competing it is difficult to ensure all club activity is reported upon Do not assume that your team s activity is already known to or that someone else has reported it. When errors or omissions occur it is the policy of to correct these in subsequent issues when they are reported to pro.nafianna.dublin@gaa.ie 11ú Iúil
