1 Weekend Fixtures Both U-21 football teams play away in Championship on Saturday. A s travel to Sancta Maria to play Ballyboden at 2.45pm and B s play Parnells in Chanel at 2pm. Then on Monday night at 8pm, our U-21 B hurlers have their replay against Clontarf in Alfie Byrne Road. Good luck to all teams, support welcome, full fixture list on website. Club Lotto This week s Na Fianna Club Lotto winning numbers were; No winner of this week s jackpot of 20,000 but congrats to this week s three Match 3 winners; Patrick McGowan, Eoin Shalloo, Mary Sherlock c/o Vinny who each won 45. Congrats also to our five Lucky Pick winners who won 15 each, Finbar Gaffney, Fergal Brophy, Brian Fee c/o Vinny, Mae/Vin/Tom/Kathleen, Paul McCarthy c/o Vinny. Wouldn t it be nice for Christmas! Club Shops Open Tomorrow The Club Hurley shop, located near the outdoor ball alley is open for business every Saturday morning. All your hurling needs and plenty of advice available here from Seosamh Breathnach. Na Fianna Club Shop, located in the Clubhouse foyer, will also be open tomorrow, Saturday 3rd from 9am to 1pm. See page 7 for Christmas hours. Coffee with a smile available, as always, at the Coffee Shack from our hard working team. Members Subscriptions Due Members subscriptions for the coming year are due and payable since the AGM. Details of subscription rates and methods of payment are on the Club website Subscriptions can be paid on Saturdays in the Club or at the office during opening hours (9.30am to 1pm Mon Fri). 1

2 Friends Of Na Fianna Night Sat 3 rd December The annual Friends Of Na Fianna Night, formerly known as the Mentors' Night, and always a great night in the Club s calendar, takes place this Saturday 3rd December in the Mobhi Suite. Finger food, 3.50 specials, all welcome. 2

Na Fianna Christmas Tree Collection 2017 The 5th annual Christmas tree collection will take place on Saturday January 7th Planning for the collection has already started and if you are interested in helping out, or have a truck, trailer or van available on collection day, the collection group would be delighted to hear from you. They are having a brief meeting next Wednesday 7th December at 8pm in the club. 3

5 Scór na nóg - Tráth na gceist Congrats Comhghairdeas to the Na Fianna Tráth na gceist team in Scór na nóg who came second in the Dublin Tráth na gceist final. The lads were pipped at the post by just one point in the final round by the winners from Fág a Bealach Faughs. So we just missed out on a trip to Belfast for the national final. Grass Pitches Notice All Na Fianna grass pitches are now closed since November 14 th until end of January and only outstanding official county board fixtures will be played on grass. Na Fianna s Fixtures Committee thank all for their continued support. 5

Christmas Gifts At Childvision A range of Christmas wreaths, winter hanging baskets, planters and gifts to be had in Child Vision, Grace Park Road Drumcondra. 7 Club Shop Christmas Opening Hours O Neills have announced the following opening hours for the Na Fianna Club Shop. Sat 3 rd 9am 1pm Thurs 8 th 7pm 9pm Sat 10 th 9am 1pm Thurs 15th 7pm 9pm Sat 17 th 9am 1pm The shop will then close for Christmas and re-open again on Saturday 21 st January. and finally Congrats to our four ladies who made the Dublin Senior Camogie panel for Well done to Eve O Brien, Arlene Cushen,Niamh Rock and Zoe O Donoghue. Comhbhrón Sincere sympathies are extended to the Connolly family on the death of Mrs Madeline Connolly, mother of Paddy Connolly, 2004 boys mentor and Grandmother of Ruaidhri (2004 boys), Sadhbh (2003 Girls) and former members Padraig (1997) and Finnan (1992). Deepest sympathies to the family of Michael Farrelly, husband of Marcella Nic Niallaigh, (Principal of Scoil Mobhí), father of Mallaidh and Cormac and to all of Michael s friends in Ballyboden St Enda s. Sincere sympathies are also extended to the Hennelly family on the passing of Mrs Bernadette Hennelly, mother of Conor, former hurler and footballer,and widow of husband Frank, a loyal member of Na Fianna. 8 Fógra Tabachtach The objective of Na Fianna Nuacht is to communicate as much club activity as possible however it is important to note that all items for inclusion in either Club Notes or Na Fianna Nuacht are reported to or texted to by Sunday evening. With a membership of 2700 and approx 100 teams now competing it is difficult to ensure all club activity is reported upon Do not assume that your team s activity is already known to Na Fianna Nuacht or that someone else has reported it. When errors or omissions occur it is the policy of Na Fianna Nuacht to correct these in subsequent issues when they are reported to pro.nafianna.dublin@gaa.ie 8
