We will try to honor all stalling requests. Priority will be given to long standing exhibitors and supporters of WMAHA. Stalls must be paid for when reserved & checks will be deposited. No open checks for stalls. Open checks are acceptable for entries. Stall reservations will only be accepted after the prize list has been mailed. NSH Classes: Any class from the NSH class list Contact: Rebecca Rett (248) 310-9615 After the TBA class is purchased, the entry fee for additional entries will be the same as the normal class entry fee. All TBA Classes that have been purchased will be posted at the show office. You may put the class anywhere in the schedule except for a TBA Championship class, which will be held during Sunday s sessions (except Halter Championships) after all of the qualifying classes for that Championship have been held.. You must buy the class one session before you want the class to run. West Michigan Arabian Horse Association Class A Youth High Point Equitation Award Purpose: To acknowledge, honor, and encourage the showing and promotion of the Arabian breed. Scope: WMAHA offers a High Point Equitation Award to its youth members in the following age divisions to youth riders accumulating the greatest number of points in AHA/USEF recognized shows. Points are tabulated from all Regions, Youth and Canadian Nationals. Divisions are as follows: 1: Walk trot 10 and under 2: 13 and under 3: 14 18 Rules: 1. A rider/handlers age division will be decided by the age of the rider as of January 1 of the current showing year. 2. No points need to be submitted. If you are a member of WMAHA, you are automatically enrolled in this program. 3. All showmanship, medal, and equitation classes will count toward points. No lead line classes will count toward points. 4. All Regional and National classes must have a minimum of 3 riders. If there are less than 3 riders, points earned for that class will be cut in half. 5. The exhibitor must be a member in good standing with West Michigan Arabian Horse Association. 6. In an event that a question should arise regarding the interpretation of these regulations, the decision of the WMAHA Fall Classic Committee shall be final. For further questions please contact WMAHA Board Members Lindsay Rinehart (trotwoodfarm.com) or Josh Edwards (Joshedwards0821@gmail.com) Point Scoring will be as follows: YOUTH AND/OR CANADIAN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES: A rider named National Champion will receive 40 points, Reserve National Champion will receive 30 points, and a Top Ten will receive 20 points. Each class must have a minimum of 3 riders. (If there is less than 3 riders points earned for that class will be cut in half). REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES: A rider named Regional Champion will receive 30 points. Regional Reserve Champion will receive 20 points and a Top Five will receive 10 points. Each class must have a minimum of 3 riders. (If there is less than 3 riders points earned for that class will be cut in half). A RATED COMPETITION CLASSES: Points will be dependent upon number of riders in class. Points will only be given to the top 6 riders in the class: For example if there is 10 riders in class, first place will receive 10 points, 2nd place will receive 9 points, 3rd would receive 8 points, 4th would receive 7 points, 5th would receive 6 points, and 6th would receive 5 points.

AHA MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT EACH COMPETITOR (THIS INCLUDES AT LEAST ON RECORDED OWNER AND ALL TRAINERS, DRIVERS, RIDERS, HALTER HANDLERS, COACHES AND THE PERSON (S) SIGNING THE ENTRY BLANK) IN AN ARABIAN HORSE ASSOCIATION RECOGNIZED ARABIAN DIVISION, AT THE TIME OF ENTRY INTO A COMPETITION, MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF A VALID AHA MEMBERSHIP/COMPETITION CARD, JOIN AHA OR PAY AN AHA SINGLE EVENT MEMBERSHIP FEE PER COMPETITOR. WHEN AN AGENT SIGNS FOR THE OWNER AT AN AHA RECOGNIZED COMPETITION, BOTH THE OWNER AND AGENT MUST BE MEMBERS OF AHA OR PAY THE AHA SINGLE EVENT MEMBERSHIP. SINGLE EVENT MEMBERSHIP IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AT AHA REGIONAL OR NATIONAL COMPETITIONS. EXHIBITORS IN WALK-TROT CLASSES ARE EXEMPT FROM AHA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS AT QUALIFYING COMPETITIONS, BUT MUST HAVE AN AHA MEMBERSHIP WITH COMPETITION CARD AT AHA REGIONAL AND NATIONAL COMPETITIONS. EXHIBITORS IN LEAD LINE CLASSES OR PARENTS/GUARDIAN SIGNING FOR MINORS ARE EXEMPT FROM AHA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS. (BOD 5/12) AHA & USEF no longer accepts membership affidavits. All owner, exhibitors, and trainers must show proof of membership or submit nonmember fee. Membership forms will be available in the office. RULES: This Horse Show is conducted in accordance with the Rules of the USEF. Every class offered herein which is covered by the current USEF Rule Book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. Each participant in this show is responsible for knowledge of and is subject to the USEF Rules. Questions not covered by USEF Rules shall be decided by the Show Committee and its decisions will be final. USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT LIFE, SENIOR ACTIVE AND JUNIOR ACTIVE MEMBERS SHALL BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL CLASSES AT REGULAR COMPETITIONS, EVENTING COMPETITIONS AT THE PRELIMINARY LEVEL OR ABOVE AND COMBINED DRIVING COMPETITIONS AT THE ADVANCED LEVEL, DRESSAGE REINING AND VAULTING COMPETITIONS AND ENDURANCE RIDES. A NONMEMBER MAY PARTICIPATE AS A HANDLER, RIDER, DRIVER, OWNER, LESSEE, AGENT, COACH OR TRAINER AT REGULAR COMPETITIONS, EVENTING COMPETITIONS, DRESSAGE COMPETITIONS, REINING COMPETITIONS AND COMBINED DRIVING COMPETITIONS UPON PAYMENT OF A $30 SHOW PASS. PARTICIPANTS IN THE FOLLOWING CLASSES ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS RULE: 1) LEAD LINE; 2) EXHIBITIONS; 3) GAMES AND RACES; 4) CLASSES FOR 4-H MEMBERS; 5) WALK TROT AND ACADEMY CLASSES (ACADEMY CLASSES ARE CLASSES LIMITED TO HORSES USED REGULARLY IN A LESSON PROGRAM); 6) USDF INTRODUCTORY LEVEL TESTS, PAS DE DEUX AND QUADRILLE CLASSES; 7) NRHA ENDORSED REINING COMPETITIONS. 8) OPPORTUNITY CLASSES, 9) CITIZENS OF OTHER NATIONS WHO HAVE PROOF, IN ENGLISH, OF CURRENT MEMBERSHIP IN GOOD STANDING OF THEIR OWN NATIONAL FEDERATION, 10) USEA BEGINNER NOVICE DIVISION; AND 11) ASSISTANT HANDLERS IN DRESSAGE SPORT HORSE BREEDING CLASSES. SHARPS CONTAINERS: Competition management shall place a minimum of one sharps container per each competition, whether or not Stabling is provided. Additional, at least one sharps container per fifty occupied stalls for the disposal of needles and other disposable sharp instruments in convenient locations in barns housing competition horses. It is competition management s responsibility to replace such containers when full and dispose of them properly. Competition management may fine any individuals including trainers, owners, exhibitors, or their agents up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments. Competition management will place a notice of this requirement either in its prize list or on a specific handout given to trainers on check in at the competition. If local law has different requirements, local law will prevail. GR1210.4. PROTEST: A protest must be filed as set forth in USEF, Rule GR 602. JUDGES: In the event that due to an illness or failure of a judge to attend the show or to perform their duties, the Show Committee reserves the GENERAL INFORMATION tight to substitute a judge for the one who is officially designated in the Prize list, according to the USEF Rules ( GR 1213). USEF & AHA RULES: Show management will be charged with the responsibility of enforcing all USEF and AHA rules. Special emphasis will be placed on the rules pertaining to the retention of natural action: expressly hoof length, weighted shoes, pads or action brought about these similar artificial appliances. The use of chains, rollers or similar devices on the show grounds before or during a show is prohibited. The show manager will bar violators from further participation for the remainder of the show. Violators shall forfeit all entry fees and prize money for the entire show. National Show Horses may use these applications when applicable. RESPONSIBILITY: All entries are accepted with the understanding that the West Michigan Arabian Horse Association or The Ingham County Fairgrounds will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury to any horse exhibited or any article of any kind. All horses shall be under the control and direction of the Show Committee but solely at the risk of the exhibitor who will be responsible for any loss, damage or injury to any person, animal or property occasioned by him, and shall indemnify the West Michigan Arabian Horse Association and The Ingham County Fairgrounds against any and all loss damages and liability thus occasioned, including but not limited to any and all legal costs; including attorney fees which may be incurred as a result thereof. Exhibitors, grooms, handlers, owners, etc. are hereby warned that they may not use any device or conduct which may cause harm to any other person(s), horses, or equipment. THE SUBMITTING OF ANY ENTRY FORM TO THE SECRETARY SHALL CONSTITUTE AN ACCEPTANCE BY EACH PERSON SIGNING SAME OF THE PROVISIONS HEREIN SET FORTH. ADMISSION TO THE RING: No person will be allowed in the ring except participants in the class, judges, assistants, and show photographer. Attendants will be allowed in the ring only after being called by the judge, ringmaster, or announcer. We request that all attendants be properly attired. WMAHA WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY ENTRIES FROM INDIVIDUALS OR FARMS OWING INDEBTNESS TO ANY CLUB OR ANY ASSOCIATION IN ANY AHA REGION UNTIL SUCH DEBT IS PAID IN FULL. CALL FOR CLASSES: Classes will be called promptly at the times announced. To prevent delays, the two-minute rule after the first horse is entered in the ring will be enforced. We appreciate your cooperation and request that the paddock managers be notified or any expected delays for tack changes. The Show Committee must approve all delays. CANCELLATION OR DIVISION OF CLASSES: The Show Committee reserves the right to cancel, combines, or divide any classes or make any scheduling changes necessary for betterment of the Show. All such changes will be announced. Show Committee has the right to split all classes, and divide driving classes at their discretion. CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES: Horses must have been entered, shown, and judged in the appropriate qualifying classes as specified in the prize list in order to be eligible to show in the Championships. SINGLE EVENT MEMBERSHIP: Each participant at an AHA Recognized Show, Division or Event must submit a valid AHA Membership with Competition Card, Life Membership Card or join AHA. A photocopy of both sides of the Certificate of Registration of each horse entered must be submitted with the entry forms. For Open classes, if the owner shown on the registration papers is different from the person entering the horse, an affidavit, a copy of the sales contract or authorization form must be filed with the Show Office. Any Corporation owning and showing a horse must be a member of AHA and that membership number must be on the entry form. Horses entered in Amateur owner and junior owner classes must be registered in the name of the competitor or a member of the competitor s family, as defined by USEF GR 134. (Horses registered in a farm/ranch/syndicate/partnership/corporation name may be shown in

Amateur Owner classes provided the family is the sole owner of the farm or entity as defined by USEF GR 134. The sale of a horse does not eliminate this registration requirement. (Contracts of Sale or Bill of Sale will not be accepted.) Each Competitor is responsible for supplying management with the correct association numbers (USEF) and AHA) for horse, owner, rider and trainer, before the day of the competition. National Show Horses must provide the show secretary with a copy of the NSHR Certificate of Registration or confirmation letter. Pending registration shall not be accepted. Trainers, exhibitors and at least one owner must be a member of the NSHR. Proof of membership is required. The scores of competitors who fail to supply correct numbers may not count toward National awards. POST ENTRIES: Advanced entries close August 24 th, 2015. Post entries must be made no later than five classes preceding the class you wish to enter, except for the showmanship Championship. STABLING AND ARRIVAL INFORMATION: NO STALLS RESERVED WITHOUT PAYMENT. The earliest arrival allowed will be Wednesday after 2:00 P.M. All horses must depart no later than 9:00 A.M. Monday. Exhibitors intending on staying over Sunday night must advise the Show Manager. No stall reservations accepted until after the prize list has been mailed. No open checks for stalls. Mail your stall request card with your entries. Entries wishing to stable together must mail their entries & stall card in the same envelope. No exceptions. Stalls are either 10 x10 wood or slatted metal bars with doors. Anyone using a stall(s) not assigned by the Barn Manager will be charged $75.00 for each stall not assigned. No sub-letting or reselling of stalls without prior approval from the Barn Manager. Dismantling of stalls is not permitted and will be charged $250.00 by the fairgrounds if stalls are not returned to original position. Tampering with electric equipment/box will result in a $500.00 fine per occurrence. Management reserves the right to limit tack stalls. All horses on the grounds must have a stall; Stalls are available on a first come first service basis. There will be no Refund for stalls. Health certificates within the past 30 days and negative coggins test are required for all out-of-state horses. SHAVINGS: No initial bedding furnished. VETERINARIAN: A Veterinarian is on the grounds from 8 a.m. until the close of the show and on call 24 hours. CAMPING: Camper/Motor home/tents- any unit using electricity (per plug) $80.00 per unit is based on Thursday-Sunday. $25.00 for early arrival (Wed). Camping in a non-designated area will be violating the state board of health regulations and must be moved to an appropriate spot. Noncompliance could mean removal from the fairgrounds. Camping passes must be displayed on the camper in plain sight at all times. Camping not paid for at the time of entry will be charged a $40.00 assessment fee. FIRE MARSHALS REGULATION: All aisles will be open at all times. There will be no closing off aisles for any reason. No stall roof is allowed to be covered with any type of material. ALL BREED ACADEMY CLASSES General Rules: Classes open to Mares & Geldings of any breed. Horses must be lesson horses used in a lesson program. Horses to be prepared as if to give a lesson or to be schooled with work tack permitted as needed. No farm names/logos on horses or riders in the show ring. No hoof clear/black or braids on any horse. Riders age is determined as of or on November 1, current year. Attire: Jodhpurs with jod boots or paddock boots (Saddle Seat) Breeches with boots or paddock boots (Hunt Seat) Jeans or jodhpurs with western or paddock boots ( Western Seat) Sweaters, sweaters & turtleneck or shirt & tie with a sweater Spurs, gloves & whips optional. Hair must be neatly pulled back. Exhibitors not permitted to wear derbies. Helmets must be worn and are not optional under the age of 18. Class A/Advanced: Riders who have shown at a Class A or recognized horse show. Only eligible for Class A/Advanced & Pattern classes. Saddle seat must ride with two sets of reins, Western must ride with one hand. Intermediate Riders: Riders who have not shown at a Class A or recognized horse show but are no longer a beginner. Saddle seat division must ride with two sets of reins. Western division must ride with one hand. Beginner Riders: Riders who are new to riding & showing.
