A Time To Shine Showcase Details 2017 DRESS Rehearsals Wednesday, April 26 th, & Thursday, April 27 th All students are required to attend an on-stage DRESS rehearsal on one of the dates listed above. This is a dress rehearsal. Please bring all costumes, shoes, stockings, etc. You may leave after your last number rehearses. Allow time for Baton Rouge traffic and parking. Please see the Showcase Dress Rehearsal Schedule for details about when your child s rehearsal will be. We will rehearse in the order that numbers are listed on the rehearsal schedule. Make sure you arrive promptly so that the rehearsal can run smoothly. Please arrive early so that you will have time to get familiar with the facility. Rehearsals WILL be open to audience members. If you do not show up for the rehearsal, you will not perform in the Showcase. Dress Rehearsal will be at Baton Rouge River Center, 275 South River Road / Baton Rouge, LA, 70802. Showcase 2017 Friday, April 28, 2017 & Saturday, April 29, 2017 A detailed list of what classes are performing in each Showcase is posted on our website. The first child in each family will receive six (6) tickets to the Showcase. Each additional child in the family will receive three (3) tickets to the Showcase. Parents must come in Lobby to pick up tickets, beginning Monday, April 3. Students performing in the Friday, April 28 th 7:00pm Showcase must be at the Baton Rouge River Center for 6:15pm. Students performing in the Saturday, April 29 th 1:00pm Showcase must be at Baton Rouge River Center for 12:15pm. Students performing in the Saturday, April 29 th 5:30pm Showcase must be at Baton Rouge River Center for 4:45pm. Please allow time for Baton Rouge traffic and parking. One female adult per performer will be allowed to enter the backstage area with the performer. This female adult must show her button to be allowed backstage. NO EXCEPTIONS! Please make arrangements for other guests and children, as they will not be allowed backstage. There will be a separate boys dressing area. Every person entering the doors must have a ticket. This includes the female adult with the button. Students will not need a ticket as they will be seated in the balcony. Seats are reserved. Each ticket corresponds to a seat in the theater. Please do not take seats that you do not have tickets for. All students, when not performing, will sit in the balcony to enjoy the show. Students are not allowed to sit in the audience. Upon arrival, students should locate their dressing area, change into 1 st costume and report to the balcony. Students will begin the show in the balcony and will be escorted down as their number comes up. After your child has performed, a parent must pick them up backstage and take them to their dressing room to change into their next costume. After they have changed, you will escort them back to the balcony. We have a team of staff that will be assigned to watch the children and line them up for their numbers. After their last number, put their finale t-shirt on over their costume and escort them to the balcony. All Baby Ballet classes must sit with their parents during the show and will not sit in the balcony. No videos may be taken during the Showcase with cameras, cell phones, or tablets. There will be a professional video of the Showcases available. Showcase tickets will be given only if your account is paid in full.
A Time To Shine Showcase Details 2017 Showcase Reminders Girls - NO underwear under costumes. Please wear stockings assigned to costume and be sure they are free of runs and holes. Please clean all shoes. Please put your name in your costumes, stockings, shoes and any bags, etc that you will have with you backstage. NO GUM!!! No jewelry onstage unless it is part of your costume. Girls only stud earrings please. Make-up Performers should wear enough make-up to be seen under bright stage lights. Be sure to include blush, lipstick and mascara. Wear make-up for the dress rehearsal so that you can see what adjustments need to be made. Showcase T-Shirts, Awards, Programs, Videos Showcase t-shirts, awards, programs, and backstage buttons will be given during out during the Dress Rehearsals on Wednesday, April 26 th and Thursday, April 27 th. Each family will receive 1 Showcase DVD. Allow 7-8 weeks for Showcase videos. An email will be sent out when videos have arrived and are ready for pickup at Center Stage. You may contact Video Reflections to order extra DVDs. Extra Tickets Extra Tickets are available for purchase at $8.00 each and will be sold on a first come first serve basis. They will be available beginning Monday, April 10th, remaining tickets will be sold Monday-Thursday from 4:30-8:30 each day (in building 2), and at the Showcase if quantities last. Finale All performers will participate in the Finale. For the Finale, all performers must wear their Showcase t-shirt over their last costume. Showcase Parent Informative Video There will be an informative video about the Showcase posted on our website by April 10, 2017. This may be helpful for first time Center Stage Showcase parents and anyone who would like to get more information about the 2017 Showcase. It will discuss the dress rehearsal, show days, dressing rooms, parent expectations, finale, and answer any questions you may have. Remaining Center Stage Classes Attendance in all classes is extremely important for the remainder of this year. The Showcase is coming up very soon, and we are polishing all Showcase numbers at this time. A few classes will have some extra rehearsals. We will send out information about this very soon. Additional Center Stage Info on Upcoming Dates and Events: Pre-registration Forms for our 2017-18 classes are due by May 12, 2017. Summer Camp registration is now open and details are on our website. Register Early! Registration for 2017-18 classes and private lessons will be held the last two Saturdays in July from 10:00am-2:00pm each day. July 22 nd, & 29 th. If you pre-register then you do not need to attend our open enrollment dates. Classes will begin on August 21, 2017. Our private lessons are offered year round. August May (regular session) and June-July (summer session). You may register at any time for private lessons. Summer Dance Intensives will be held June 26-29 and July 10-13. STARS Company Auditions will be held July 15-19. STARS Company Musical Theatre Elite Auditions will be held July 20 & 24.

Pre-Registration Letter 2017-2018 March 23, 2017 Dear Center Stage Parents: We would like to thank all of you for sharing your children with us during the 2016-2017 year. We would also like to save you time and money by offering our current students reduced registration rates for our 2017-2018 year. Pre-registration rates are $25 for an individual and $40 for a family (Regular rates are $45 Individual & $55 Family). Pre-registering will not only save you money, but will also save you time by allowing you and your child to skip our in house registration in July of 2017. This form does not obligate you or your child to participate in these classes. Classes may be changed or added through August of 2017. Center Stage will use the attached registration form to assign each student to classes for next year. Students that preregister will have first priority to classes they choose. A student confirmation schedule will be emailed to you in August including a list of all classes that your child is enrolled in and the monthly tuition for those classes. No other involvement is required by you unless your child needs dance wear or shoes. If you do need supplies, please feel free to visit us during our registration hours in July and we will be happy to fit your child with what he or she needs. Here are a few points to remember: The pre-registration rates of $25 for individual and $40 for family are for current students only. Students that pre-register will have first priority to the classes they choose. To receive the pre-registration rates, Center Stage must receive your form and money by May 12, 2017. This special rate will NOT be extended past May 12, 2017. Your pre-registration fee MUST be paid separately from other Center Stage payments.
