MEETING MINUTES Board Meeting - 09/01/2016 Board meeting was opened by President Chris. Officers present: Chris, Ethel, Alyce Board Members present: Greg, Paul. Members Present Bob A, Paul. Treasurer report given by Ethel. Jane Staedicke, Employee of City of Phoenix Library, was introduced and told us of the coming event they are sponsoring. It is Kicks on Route 66. She was requesting our club to participate in the event with the displaying of several 1 st generation Mustangs. Our club name would be mentioned on the flyer. The event will be on Sat from 12-2. Board agreed to participate by getting club members to sign up to being the display. Chris is working with Penny from Berge, on finalizing show flyers. He will have a break down on classes for trophies, will get trophies ordered and find out if Berge will help with the cost of the trophies.. The article about our show will be in MCA this month and will be on our website. Discussion took place about having our newsletter available to anyone. It was suggested to limit most articles to members and have calendar available to anyone checking out our website. Greg will check on making this possible. Signup sheet for show help, and upcoming events will be at the next meeting. Meeting adjourned General Meeting - 09/11/2016 General Meeting opened by President Chris with everyone reciting the pledge of allegiance to the flag. Officers present: Drew, Chris and Ethel. Board Members present, Paul, Becky and Greg Treasurer's report was given by Ethel. Balance is $4,492.92. No member of the month. Chris advised he has one member article but needs more and he asked that members send in one if they have never done one or if it has been some time since they were member of the month. New business was discussed with Becky advising that rooms at $89.00 plus tax will be available at the Holiday Inn during the Fall Show - date Oct. 29th. Chris reminded us that next month nominations for the new board will be held and that the nominated person must have been a member for at least one year. Christmas lunch (Dec 4th) will be at 11 am with incoming and outgoing board members meeting at 10am. Refreshments next month by Becky. Route 66 Celebration Copperstate Mustang Club has been asked to show off their cars at the Route 66 Celebration event at Mesquite Library in Phoenix (4525 E Paradise Village Pkwy N). The event will be held from 12-3pm with staging at 11:30. Roger Naylor, the author of Arizona Kicks on Route 66 will be there promoting his book and copies will be available for purchase. We need 10 or more first generation Mustangs (64-72) to sign up for this event. Please contact a board member if you can participate.

Reminders HOTEL ROOMS AVAILABLE A block of rooms has been set aside for those of you attending Copperstate s Great Pumpkin car show on October 29 th. The rooms are at the Holiday Inn located at I-60 and Country Club in Mesa Arizona. The rooms are being held at the rate of $89.00 per night plus tax. Just tell them you are with Copperstate Mustang Club. The rooms will be held at that rate until October 7,2016. So, make your reservations early. Copperstate Mustang Club Holiday will be held on the first Sunday of December this year. December 4, 2016 at the Holiday Inn located at 44 th St and McDowell. We will have the traditional holiday menu of turkey and ham with all the trimmings and there is a possibility that Santa will make an appearance depending on weather. There will be a white elephant gift exchange for those who wish to participate. Please remember to bring canned goods for the food bank at the church. Hope to see many of you there.

Election Reminder that elections are coming up and not just for the US but for our club as well. Nominations for the new board for 2017 will take place at the October general meeting with voting occurring at the November general meeting. The board will then decide the officers for the club. A nominee for the board must be a good standing member that has been in the club for at least a year. You can nominate yourself or someone else if you prefer. You can also decline the nomination if you so choose to.

Primary goal is to raise money to be donated to The Animal Doctors to the Rescue in hopes to help animals in need of medical care.
