CYCLING IN MARYLAND In Maryland, A bicycle is a vehicle, and allowed to ride on the road where speed limits are 50 MPH or less In Montgomery County, bicyclists may also ride on sidewalks* *except in the City of Gaithersburg shifting gears for a better ride ahead
