Superiorities of MTB Breakers
The hydraulic accumulators do not need N2 gas charging on the working site. Normally, MTB accumulators can be used for 2 years or longer without charging. On the other hand, there can be gas leakage on gas type breakers, which should be constantly controlled and recharged when necessary. Compared to gas type breakers MTB hydraulic breakers have 3 times bigger accumulator. It has the advantage of less vibration and generation of more power 2
The cylinder and the piston of MTB breakers operate without touching each other (steel to steel) on blank firing time. MTB breakers have bigger volume oil cushion chamber than other brands, which provides strong hydraulic suspension. Thanks to this MTB breakers work continuously without interruption. Other brands use mainly stop function or variable stroke control. Stop function works by relief control. Relief valve works continuously by opening and closing, thus hydraulic oil overheats and the extremely warm oil may cause problem with the hydraulic components of the carrier and the breaker itself. Variable stroke function is designed by complicated valves on the breaker, which may cause problems from time to time. Housing material is a special bending type material, that s why it is stronger. Also the welds on housing are reduced and no housing bolts are used. This makes the housing more rigid and stronger. GAS TYPE HAMMERS Open type housing plates are assembled to body with 6-8 side bolts. During the operation of the breaker, vibration causes loosening of side bolts.
