Presidential Letter November Edition I m sure most of you have put your 356s in the garage for the winter. However, I must say that the end of the season was pretty spectacular. I went on the Mid Washington Tour & Wine Tasting and the Mini-Bull Session in the Portland area (Oregon City). The attendees had a great time. I have two photos taken on the Mid-Washington Tour, the first is at a rest stop in the scenic Eburg Canyon and the second is on the return trip at Teapot Gas Station. The wine tour was an interesting adventure for us as we had our 90 pound black lab with us, the first time she has taken a 356 trip. Thank you Kirk Gilday for organizing this fun event. The third picture is of several of the 356s gathered for the Portland Mini-Bull Session. Of the some twenty people at the event several drove their 356s. Thank you Stephen Miller for planning and hosting this MBS (Mini-Bull Session). We have elections coming up and I would like to say thanks to those members who have once again accepted nominations for positions on the board. I want to thank everybody for contributing to last month s newsletter, it's nice to see you taking the time to share a good articles. Thank you Jack Keyes for the story on the Mid-Washington Wine Tour and Renee Crist for keeping us up to date on our Facebook page. If you too have a story to share please send them to the DesigNr Editor Jack Keyes at jkeyes356@gmail.com. Keep the Faith and get out and drive! Mike L Thornton

Notes from the South Oregon Mini Bull Session. Text by Steve Miller Photos by Harold Klein On Saturday, October 7th a small group of about twenty 356 enthusiasts gathered at Millerdale (Home of Steve and Winnie Miller). They are located about six miles south of Oregon City, Oregon. The lively group reacquainted with one another and shared maintenance and restoration tips learned over the many years of 356 ownership. Several members from 356 Group NW arrived in 356s including club president Mike Thornton with Rick Carns traveling from Long Beach, WA and Longview, WA respectively. Cliff "Kip" Hanson's Champagne Yellow 1964 356SC was the feature of the event with Kip initiating the tech conversation. While it rained for a brief period the weather cooperated so a small group of spouses could tour a neighbor's flower garden. Conversations and discussions continued through lunch and into the mid afternoon as the group dispersed.
