Archie Rollie Taylor, the Hobo Nickel Guy, Most of you remember Archie speaking at our club a couple of times in the past few years. Archie was known for his overall pants and different colored shoes. Most of all he was known for his unique outlook on life and sharing the Hobo way. We will miss you Archie! The next two months are busy ones for SRARC. We have our October Picnic and Fun Hunt on 10/28, we have the Tom Dankowski Seminar on 11/11, and we have our annual banquet on 11/28. In between all that we also have a couple of meetings and Officer and Board Member Elections in November. We are still looking for anyone who will put their name on the ballot for officers and board members. Joe Szemer and Howard Metts spoke about their recent cruise to the Bahamas and metal detecting in different ports. Break was taken at 7:45 Meeting was called back to order at 8:05pm The treasurer's report was given by Tom Killian. Winners of the competition table were announced. The raffle was held. Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm. Coming Events October 28 th Fort De Soto Picnic & Fun Hunt Pavilion # 9 Lunch at 12:00 noon Hunt starts at 1:00 pm $10.00 per member to hunt. No charge for lunch. Bring a dish to share. Treasure Hunters Code of Ethics I WILL respect private property and do no treasure hunting without the permission of the property owner. I WILL appreciate and protect our heritage of natural resources, wildlife and private property. I WILL fill all my excavations, remove and properly dispose of all trash that I find. I WILL use thoughtfulness, consideration and courtesy at all times, leaving gates as I found them. I WILL assist law enforcement and other government agencies or private citizens as needed. I WILL NOT litter. I WILL NOT destroy property, buildings, or what is left of ghost towns and deserted structures. I WILL NOT tamper with signs, structural facilities or equipment. 5
