We hope you are happy to receive this newsletter so that we can share with you some exciting events in our daffodil world! Your Middle Tennessee Daffodil Society (MTDS) membership expiration date is 01/01/1000. If you would like to continue to support MTDS with a membership renewal, please send a check to Carol Smith, 206 50th Ave N., Nashville, TN 37209. If your membership expiration date is blank, you have not yet joined MTDS but asked to be informed of future MTDS news. Annual MTDS membership is $20 individual, $25 family, $30 group. Middle Tennessee Daffodil Society Established April 5, 1958 to promote the appreciation and cultivation of daffodils. Membership is open to anyone interested in daffodils. Visit MTDS at www.daffodiltn.org and on Facebook. The USA will host the 2016 World Daffodil Convention and Show in St. Louis, MO, April 6-10, 2016. This is the 10th World Daffodil Convention. This international event is held only every four years and the USA hosts it only every twelve years. Don't miss your opportunity to attend a World Convention so close to us! The next World Conventions will be in Australia (2020), Europe (2024), New Zealand (2028) and back in the USA (2032). Congratulations to newly accredited daffodil judges Lisa and Michal Kuduk, Susan Basham, and Molly Hampton MTDS Spring Meeting - Sunday, March 13 The MTDS Spring Meeting is Sunday, March 13 at 2 pm at Cheekwood Botanical Garden in Nashville. We meet in the Potter Room located in Botanic Hall. We will learn more about Cheekwood's plans for future expansion, will discuss the upcoming daffodil show, and will share information on how to enter flowers in the show. Show Schedules will be available at the meeting. MTDS Daffodil Show - March 19 & 20 On Saturday and Sunday, March 19 and 20 the Middle Tennessee Daffodil Society will host the 56th annual MTDS Daffodil Show at Cheekwood Botanical Garden in Nashville.

Show setup is Friday, March 18 from 1 to 4 pm. Come help if you can. Show entries can be made between 7 am and 10:15 am on Saturday, March 19. Show Schedules will be available at the March 13 meeting, during show setup on Friday, on Saturday morning or you can email Becky Fox Matthews at becky@lostfrogs.com to receive an electronic version of the schedule. The show will include Photography and Artistic Design Divisions. These divisions require advance registration notice. Contact Becky Fox Matthews at becky@lostfrogs.com for information on the Photography Division. Contact Jeff or Jennifer Harvey at jeff@dirtdawgnursery.com for information about the Artistic Design Division. New By-Laws and Officers MTDS News The Middle TN Daffodil Society met at Cheekwood on Sunday, October 11, 2015. A membership vote approved the updated MTDS By-Laws as printed in the September 11, 2015 newsletter. The following officers were submitted and voted in by the membership: Suzanne Shambaugh, President; Susan Basham, Vice President; Carol Smith, Membership and Treasurer; Becky Fox Matthews, Newsletter Editor. MTDS to host the 2018 ADS Convention! The Middle TN Daffodil Society will host the American Daffodil Society Convention and Show April 5-8, 2018 at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs hotel to celebrate 2018 as the 60th anniversary of MTDS. Susan Basham and Becky Fox Matthews are Convention Co-Chairs. Mike and Lisa Kuduk are Show Co-Chairs. Other positions needing to be filled are Convention Registrar/Financial, Photography Chairman, Multimedia Coordinator, Publications Coordinator, Publicity Chairman, and Tours Coordinator. These positions do not all have to be held locally,
