Arnold RACE 1: ACTIVE PLUMBING MAIDEN - 1000M SOBER UP Jumped awkwardly and commenced to race keenly and was steadied when improving onto heels near the 800m. ANNA'S LOOKIN' Bumped outwards approaching the 600m. CHANTAIN Lay outwards and bumped approaching the 600m. Held up for clear running from on straightening until near the 200m. MR MURT Had difficulty securing clear running from on straightening until approaching the 100m. MISS SONDRIO Rider was shown a section of the patrol film near the 800m and was reminded of his obligations to ensure he allows sufficient room to runners when crossing to obtain a position in the early stages of races in future. JESSE QUICK Rider reported that his mount mis-strode near the 700m. KEEPER'S TALE Commenced awkwardly and race keenly through the early stages. IN THE BOOT Raced wide throughout. Shoeing Change: JESSE QUICK Bar Plate Off (Off hind) / On (Off fore) Clerical error Stewards accompanied by several senior riders inspected a section of the track near the 700m where minor remedial work was undertaken and the track was declared safe for racing. RACE 2: WA TIMBER SALES HANDICAP - 1400M RISING SEA cast its off fore plate during its preliminary which was refitted behind the barriers and necessitated a delay to the start of this race of approximately three minutes. MASTER MAGICIAN Rider expressed disappointment and could offer no explanation for the unplaced performance. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr D. McAuliffe advised that the gelding will now be sent for a spell. RISING SEA Cast its off fore plate during its preliminary which required refitting behind the barriers prior to the start. ELLIOT BOY Rider reported that the gelding was under pressure and hung outwards throughout. JIMMY JOE Commenced slowly, losing one length. Lay inwards in the straight. PLATINUM POWER Rider reported his mount was under immediate pressure from on straightening and as a result failed to run on strongly. A post race Veterinary examination

Miller undertook to monitor the filly s recovery and advise Stewards accordingly. THUNDER BOOM Slow into stride, losing one length. PARADINI Slow into stride, losing one length. Lay inwards under pressure over the final 100m. RACE 3: BUNBURY TELECOM SERVICES MAIDEN - 1400M PAGAN DANCER - Commenced awkwardly. MADISON ROSE Over-raced through the early stages and when being steadied near the 1200m got its head in the air for a short distance. Lay inwards in the straight. SADLERS HILLS Slow into stride, losing one length. Raced keenly through the early and middle stages. MISS RUMOUR MILL Crowded on jumping. Raced wide throughout. Bumped outwards near the 600m and lay outwards in the straight. REEF KEEPER Bumped near the 600m and raced wide thereafter. TRADE POWER Steadied outwards when improving onto heels at the 1000m. VERY TEMPTING Steadied outwards when improving onto heels at the 1000m. JAZ ME UP Raced ungenerously through the early and middle stages and was steadied when racing close to heels near the 1000m getting its head in the air for a short distance. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr V. Brockman advised that the filly will now be sent for a spell. RACE 4: ASPIRED ALUMINUM AND GLASS MAIDEN - 1400M IMPRESSIVE STAR was a late withdrawal by Stewards at 12:45pm when Trainer Mr C. Green advised that the gelding had sustained abrasions to its hind legs due to a floating mishap en route to the course. Trainer advised that the gelding would now be sent for a spell. IHTS A HEIST was a late withdrawal by Stewards at 1:32pm acting on Veterinary advice when the mare underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination on arrival on course and was found to have a laceration to its off fore heel bulb. Trainer Mr J. McGuckin was advised that the mare would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness prior to racing or trialling again. OPERA BILL Raced wide throughout. LADY EMILY Impeded for clear running from on straightening and was steadied when racing in restricted room passing the 300m until obtaining a clear run from the 200m. JEZZA'S STAR Held up for clear running from the 200m until passing the 100m. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. ROYAL TIPPLE Trainer Mr E. Wake advised that the mare returned having cast its off fore plate. ARMOURER Lay outwards and steadied when improving onto heels near the 700m. Held up for clear running from on straightening until the 200m. AT THE READY Held up for clear running from on straightening until near the 250m. UNDER OFFER A post race Veterinary examination of the unplaced gelding revealed no abnormalities. Co-Trainer Mr G. Williams advised that the gelding will now be sent for a spell. General: Stewards opened an Inquiry into the riding of JEZZA S STAR (C. Parnham) in the straight. Evidence was taken from Jockey C. Parnham and Trainer of JEZZA S STAR Mr G. Ballantyne with the Inquiry being adjourned until a time and date to be fixed. RACE 5: CABICO MAIDEN - 1100M NO SAY IN IT Slow into stride, losing one length. Rider reported the gelding failed to muster any early speed despite his efforts and settled in a rearward position. He further advised that

Smith concurred with the rider s comments and advised that the gelding would race over an increased distance for its immediate racing future. HAPPY HARRY Restrained from heels at the 600m when the pace reduced and shifted outwards and bumped and dipped and again dipped shortly after. CLOAK AND DAGGER Raced keenly through the early stages. COMBAT LEGEND Steadied when improving onto heels at the 600m. FAST FAIRY Raced wide throughout and bumped shortly after straightening. FRIARANDICE Bumped, buffeted and steadied at the 600m. OUR CONTESSA Lay outwards rounding the home turn and on straightening and bumped shortly after. Rider reported the filly raced greenly throughout. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for HAPPY HARRY (C. Staples) restraining from heels and dipping at the 600m. Evidence was tendered from Jockey C. Staples, Apprentice F. Bell (KING OF CHAOS) and Apprentice Bell s host trainer Mr W. Bradshaw. Apprentice Bell pleaded guilty to a charge under ARR.137(d) for reducing the speed of her mount between the 700m and the 600m which caused HAPPY HARRY to be restrained from the heels of KING OF CHAOS and dip at the 600m. Apprentice Bell was subsequently fined the sum of $300. When assessing penalty Stewards took into account Apprentice Bell s guilty plea and unblemished record under this rule. RACE 6: M&B BUILDING PRODUCTS HANDICAP - 1200M SALTY Over-raced through the early and middle stages. When held up for clear running near the 300m was bumped becoming momentarily unbalanced and was impeded for clear running over the 150m and raced tightly with another runner over the final 100m. OUR MATE CHARLIE Raced wide throughout. CAPRICORN DANCER Held up for clear running from on straightening until passing the 200m. PRETTY CINGIN Impeded for clear running in the early stages of the straight. MERRIJIG Raced tightly with another runner over the final 100m. RACE 7: CAROMA HANDICAP - 1200M JUST DOUGIE Held up for clear running for the entire length of the straight. YSMAEL Impeded in the early stages of the straight. STAR LIGHTNING Unable to obtain clear running for the entire length of the straight. GOOD MORNING (NZ) Raced wide throughout. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to have returned with an abrasion to its off hock. TWELVE ROUNDS Lay outwards throughout. Trainer Mr C. Gangemi advised that he would effect a gear change on the gelding in an attempt to rectify its racing manner. CENTAVISION Held up for clear running from on straightening until near the 250m. Lay outwards over the final 100m. RACE 8: WA COUNTRY BUILDERS HANDICAP - 1675M NUN OF THAT was a late withdrawal by Stewards at 12:45pm when Trainer Mr C. Green advised that the mare had sustained abrasions to both hind legs due to a floating mishap en route to the course.- QUITE REGAL Over-raced through the early and middle stages. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and from on straightening until angled outwards at the 300m. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Co-Trainer Mr J. BOOM BOOM BANG Held up for clear running from on straightening until angled outwards near the 200m. LORD CONRAD Made the crossing at the 1600m awkwardly and then over-raced through the early stages. Lay inwards in the straight. BERGANTINA Held up for clear running from on straightening until near the 250m. STORMY GRACE Raced keenly through the middle stages. RACE 9: AUSTRALIND PREMIX HANDICAP - 1400M Prior to declaring correct weight, Stewards viewed the available patrol film of the start and declared BACHELORS PROSPECT a runner. FORTY FOUR RED - Commenced awkwardly, veering inwards abruptly and bumping heavily. Lay outwards in the straight. BLACK FREDA Raced wide at the 600m and lay inwards in the straight. Rider expressed disappointment in the performance and advised that the mare was under pressure from on straightening and failed to run on strongly thereafter. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr G. Hitchcock advised that he would have the mare undergo a full Veterinary examination over the ensuing days and would advise Stewards of the results. DANGEROUS GAME Dwelt on jumping, losing one length. SEE ME SIZZLE Steadied when racing close to heels near the 1100m. Blocked for clear running from on straightening until angled inwards at the 200m and then raced tightly between runners over the final 50m. LE SCHILLER Bumped heavily on jumping, unbalancing its rider and lost one length. Raced keenly through the early and middle stages and was steadied getting its head in the air near the 1100m. BACHELORS PROSPECT (NZ) Reared as the start was effected and lost considerable ground. Due to the gelding s starting manner, Trainer Mr B. Lucas was advised that it would have to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards before racing again. BON SIGNORE Dwelt as the start was effected, losing two lengths. Impeded for clear running over the final 100m. GENERAL Routine specimens were taken from all winners. The following horses were selected for pre-race blood samples to be taken: Race 4.
