A Club of 1st Generation Camaro Enthusiasts, Years 1967, 1968 & 1969 Official Club News Letter For April 2009 IN THIS ISSUE: Cover Car: Jackson's Blown 68 1 Featured Car Photos Layout 6 Bill s Corner for Club Information 2 Featured Car Information 7 Photo Coverage: Advantage Show 4 NTC April s Events Calendar 9 Photo Coverage: TMS Camaro Parade 5 NTC May s Events Calendar 11 Click Here to Return to Index Editor: Brad Howell 1 April 2009

Bill s Corner: Info for The North Texas Camaro Club Christian Classic Cruisers kicked off their show season with lots of NTC folks on hand. Doug Moore, Shawn Moran, Steve Gillespie, Bill & Darlene Hooks, Chapman Mays, Fern Duron, Huff, NoMad Dog Dodson, Law Dog Simmons, Bill Roy, Brenda Howard, Keith Dorsa, Mark Lohse, and maybe others I missed ( sorry ). The TMS Camaro event was a huge success. LOTS of folks enjoyed the Camaro Day and the races. Lots of smiles at the 2010 Camaro used for the pace car at the race. At least a dozen NTC folks represented the first gen Camaro ( and a second gen too ). Info from the GM Camaro camp says 14,000+ sold orders for 2010 Camaros so far. The 2011 Camaro will have a convertible available and the production cars looked great. Great pictures of Fern and Potts Z-cars on the track. Hard luck award to Jeff "Geyser" Cassell. (See page 5) The Advantage Auto Works car show 4/4 was a success with NTC folks on the scene. About 10 people came to the show to show and pick up T-Shirts. Lots of fun. Congrats to Mark Lohse, Tommy Simmons, NoMad Dog Dodson and George Johnson for winning some hardware with their fine cars at the show. (See page 4) The "T" shirt program run by Mark Lohse was unbelievable, 81 shirts were ordered, and many had been picked up by Saturday 4/4. Thanks Mark for the co-ordination. You can now put your car picture in the members section of the Web Site. Sign into members section, my account and list your car and upload the pictures. Then check the box that says add to members car section - David made it easy for each of us to update. However, the web site update dropped most of the original car pictures in the 67 / 68 /69 categories. So please go in and add your car pictures back to the members car section. It looks like a much smaller club than the 115 members, with only a few car pictures shown. 2 April 2009

Featured Car Questionnaire Jerry Jackson's Pro-Street Blown 68 Camaro How did you acquire this car? I followed it on EBAY, and when it didn't hit the reserve, Linsey and I drove to Moore OK with my truck and a trailer. As soon as he opened the garage I knew I had to have it, even though it was painted "peach" at the time. How long have you owned this car? 4 years this month (May). I drove it for three years and then took a year for updates. Anything interesting happen during your acquisition or ownership of the car? It was fun starting with a car that was basically what I wanted then changing it into what I envisioned having. What would you do differently about the car? I'll probably update the interior next. Any company or service that deserves high praise for helping with your car? My wife Linsey, Yearwood Speed and Custom in El Paso, Fastimes Racing in El Paso, Dewey's Custom Painting, and as always, Bill Roy for the never-ending encouragement. 8 April 2009
