The Bazaruto Archipelago offers excellent year-round fishing for a multitude of species and techniques. These well priced fishing packages give you the option of fishing the Bazaruto Archipelago out of Vilankulos either from a 38ft Supercat, a 27 Nova Cat or a 25ft Magnum Cat CC with accommodation at Vila Do Paraiso. GENERAL FISHING INFORMATION MARLIN FISHING The Archipelago offers a prodigious second run of Marlin peaking between March to May, and both, Black and Blue Marlin can be expected. We have seen amazing numbers of fish during this time for the last two seasons and Blues where caught on a daily basis even into the winter months up to July. it s an exciting time to try the ultimate fishing experience by using the bait & switch technique to target these fish. A good by-catch on other game fish species such as sailfish, wahoo, dorado, Yellowfin tuna and others can also be expected and we normally, and if guests want to make the most of the Archipelago s diversity, have some light tackle sticks out while targeting Marlin.
GT MADNESS - PLUGGING & JIGGING, SPINNING, DROP-SHOT & FLYFISHING for a diversity of Species Plugging for GT s (Giant Trevally) is almost a religion on the archipelago and they are caught year-round, but February to July seem to give an edge along with other species that can be caught on poppers & stickbaits. An even wider number of species can be caught on a variety of exciting techniques such as spinning, drop-shoot and jigging. Amongst those species are all the other trevally species (yellowspot, Bludger, Blacktail, big eye, etc), great barracuda, king and queen mackerel, Indian mirror fish, prodigal son, green job fish, snappers and many other. Fly-fishing is also enormously popular and productive on a enormous variety of species. LIGHT TACKLE CONVENTIONAL - SAILFISH, WAHOO & MUCH MORE. The best season for Sailfish of the Archipelago is between May and August (fly, conventional or spinning gear). Great Light tackle conventional trolling & June to mid-august as been absolutely superb for a couple of years, with the most amazing run of wahoo we have experienced in 17 years of fishing the archipelago. Along with days where we experienced over 30 wahoo bites, plentiful numbers of king mackerel, Yellowfin tuna, bonito, skipjack, dorado can be expected. This along with Sailfish pods and even the odd small Black Marlin. The winter months are also very successful with big cuda (king mackerel) fishing either on the drift or slow trolling live baits and from May large numbers of natal Snoek (queen mackerel) migrate through the Islands and are targeted on light tackle spinning gear. This is also a great time to target Sharks of the archipelago with Zambeze s (bull s), java s, blacktip s, silvertips and many other s available in LARGE numbers & size!

ACCOMMODATION @ Vila Do Paraiso - VDP VDP is a great option and offers excellent value for money for groups larger than two anglers or large groups with family, friends and other non-fishing guests. Accommodation are on luxurious four air-conditioned en-suite bedroom Villas which offer a fully catered kitchen, a personal House Butler, Decks overlooking beautiful ocean vistas, private splash pool, satellite TV & Wi-Fi. The Lodge also offers a poolside Restaurant & Bar set right on the beach, the perfect place to chill and have a drink or two after a day s fishing. If you prefer not to use the restaurant your personal House Butler can cook you breakfast, prepare any snacks or meals and cook your catch of the day as you wish at your Villa. Butlers working hours are from 7am to 6pm but can offer extra hours at the cost of 100 MTS (USD 1.60) per hour. VDP offers a pre-arrival or daily shopping service for food, drinks or any products you may require for your Villa.
