GAME NOTES Clearwater (32-32) vs St. Lucie (33-31) Game No. 65 June 16, 2015 Starting Pitchers: RHP John Gant (0-0) vs LHP Matt Imhof (2-1) Shark Bytes THRESHERS DROP 13-INNING AFFAIR, 3-2: The Clearwater Threshers offense surged to overcome a late deficit again on Monday night, but it was the St. Lucie Mets who outlasted Clearwater as the Threshers fell 3-2 in 13 innings at Bright House Field. After being shut out through seven frames by Mets starter Mike Gibbons, the Threshers plated a run each in the eighth and ninth innings. After trading zeros into the 13th, Amed Rosario delivered a single off the wall in left to push home the decisive run against Cody Forsythe. With Daytona losing to Fort Myers on Monday, Clearwater remains five games out with just six left to play in the first half. CALL-IN KLEVEN: With Mark Leiter Jr. s promotion up to Reading, Colin Kleven has been added to the FSL North All-Star roster. Kleven has had a breakout season for Clearwater, going 4-3 with a 3.00 ERA in his 12 starts. He has not permitted more than three runs in any outing since April 13, and has a 1.35 ERA in three starts in June. Last night Kleven took a no-decision but held St. Lucie to two runs on four hits and a pair of walks in his six innings, striking out four. TOCCI TAKES CLEARWATER: Phillies No. 5 prospect Carlos Tocci has been added to the Threshers as part of a slew of roster moves on Monday. Tocci, just 19-years old, is often praised for his defensive skills in center and was batting.321 with two homers and 25 RBIs in Lakewood. He has a career-high 14 steals and has added some pop, with 14 doubles and two homers. No. 14 prospect Ricardo Pinto was also added from Lakewood, and Paul Clemens was assigned to Clearwater from Lehigh Valley. HEAD-TO-HEAD: Clearwater and St. Lucie will face off for the second of eight meetings this season. In 2014, Clearwater was 1-7 against the Mets, going 1-3 at home.
