AQHA RANCH RIDING CLINIC REGISTRATION 5 Clinician: Debbie Cooper Clinic Schedule: 1:00 pm 3:00 pm, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 (Arena 6) Formerly known as Ranch Horse Pleasure, the Ranch Riding class is designed to showcase the movement, attitude and versatility of the working horse. The horse s performance should simulate a horse riding outside the confines of an arena and that of a working ranch horse. The horse s ability to move at a forward, working speed while under the control of the rider should be showcased. Primary considerations in evaluating the Ranch Riding include the overall manners and responsiveness of the horse while performing the required maneuvers, and the horse s quality of movement. Clinician Debbie Cooper has spent a lifetime in the horse industry and has trained and/or shown multiple World, Congress and NRHA Champions, as well as showing an Open Junior Ranch Riding World Finalist. Debbie s clinics are designed with success in the show pen as a goal, and as a clinician, Debbie always shares pointers from a judge s perspective. There are a maximum of 12 spots available for the hands-on clinic with horse and rider; however, there is no limit to audit the clinic as a spectator. Registration fee is $25/clinic participant. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Only the first 12 registrations received will be able to participate in the hands-on portion of the clinic. Additional registrations will be placed on a waiting list ranked in order of registration date. An email confirmation will be sent to registrants upon receipt of their registration. Registrations may be submitted electronically and with a credit card payment through the ANLS website. http://www.anls.org/p/events/arizona-national-horse-show/350.
