Purpose of St. Louis Corvette Club: To enjoy the Corvette through association with other Corvette owners. To have fun on many levels through social events, road trips, car shows, charity events and competition as each person wishes. To actively promote and work for the advancement of St. Louis Corvette Club and its activities. To respect the differences and wishes of each STLCC club member. Greetings, Here comes September which is traditionally the busiest month on the calendar. Starting with the Labor Day weekend at the Museum, we then have the Car Show, The Sunday Brunch Run, Fun Fest and Anticipation of the Eureka Springs Weekend. For good measure we sprinkle in the Thursday Night Dinners, The start of Football Season and the official end of summer. These are busy times for the club. Speaking of Eureka Springs, here s a bit of trivia for you. Last year at Eureka Springs, the St. Louis Corvette Club accomplished something that, to my knowledge, hasn t happened before and because of the complexity of the accomplishment, probably won t ever happen again. Can you tell what it is that we did??? I ll disclose the answer in the next newsletter. Rick F. Hello to all of you that are living the dream. My dream, started about 43 years ago, with my first ride in a beautiful 1962 red Corvette convertible. I am happy to report my wife Sara and I are now living the dream to the fullest, in our very own red Corvette convertible. We thank the Lord for the car and all of the friends we have been blessed to meet. We love our Corvette club and all the fun that it brings us. On June 5 th of this year, Sara and I really took the dream to a new high. We drove to Bowling Green, Kentucky and did the Xperience offered by the National Corvette Museum. I am here to tell you, if you want the time of your life, with the treatment of a king or a president; you need to do the Xperience. Don t take time to think about signing up just do it!! If I live to be two hundred, I will never forget the Xperience or our guide, Don Sherman. I can t say enough about this extraordinary young man. He is truly a fountain of knowledge. Don personalized our tour and made it special. He was a very gracious host, both during the plant tour and also in the museum. Many of us do not purchase new Corvettes. We purchase project cars or one we just have to have (no two are really alike). This is where you and your car can form a union like never before. Don t take our word for it, just do it for you! Leaster and Sara Gibson
