ChargAIRE ALWAYS WEAR A GOVERNMENT APPROVED FLOATATION DEVICE WHEN PADDLE BOARDING. Know the limits of your ability and the limits of your Equipment. Changes in air temperature and elevation could cause the air inside the ChargAIRE to expand which could cause the board to burst. Always release some air when these conditions occur. Never leave your board sitting in direct sunlight when it is out of the water.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN... Check for damaged or missing parts. ChargAIRE Includes: 1 - ChargAIRE 1 - Carry bag 3 - Fins (a5ached to the fin bases) 1 - Repair kit Tool Needed for Assembly: Pump Repair Kit Includes: 1 - Vision bag 1 - Vinyl tubing valve adapter 1 - Leafield valve adapter 1 - Valve wrench 1 - Repair thread 1-5 - 10 pound anchor & rope 4 - Frameless mount pads for IGSystem 1 - Frameless fly rod holder 1 - Repair needle 2 - Tear- aid prep pad 3 - Tear- aid Type A patches 1 - Fin plug 1 - Split ring Optional Accessories (Not Included): Set Up - Step 1 - Inflation: 1 - ChargAIRE 1 - Vinyl tube valve adapter 1 - Leafield valve adapter 1 - Pump (not included) Inflate the SUP using a hand, foot or an electric pump designed for inflatable boats. If using an electric pump for inilal inflalon, a hand pump must be used to top off the board. 1. Remove the dust cap from the valves. 2. Push and turn the valve stem 1/4 turn to the leq. This posilons the valve stem in the up or closed posilon. Having the valve stem in the closed posilon allows air to be pumped into the chamber and will prevent the air from escaping. 3. Connect the clear vinyl valve adapter to the pump hose and to the Leafield valve adapter. 4. Screw the Leafield valve adapter into the valve on the SUP. 5. Inflate the board chamber to a pressure of 8 psi. This pressure will not allow much defleclon. Inflate the outer collar chamber to 2.5 psi or unll the chamber feels Lght. Set Up - Step 2 - Fin Installation: 1 - Inflated SUP board 3 - Fins (A5ached to fin bases) 1. Slide the front of the fin into the fin base. 2. Push down on the back of the fin to posilon into place. 3. Secure fin into place with the a5ached fin plug. 4. Repeat on remaining fins.
Set Up - Step 4 - Scotty Rod Holder (Optional / Not included): 1 - Approach SUP board 1-4 - Sco5y Frameless Mount Pads (Sco5y part # 341 Glue- on Mount Pad) 1-4 - Bait Cast or Fly Rod Holders 1. Start with the board deflated. 2. Insert the the sco5y frameless mount pad into the IGSystem. This is designed to be a Lght fit. 3. Screw deck mount onto the frameless mount. 4. Insert rod holder into the deck mount IGSystem for attaching gear, Scotty rod holders, anchor lock and camera mounts. Roll to fit back into bag: 1. The Approach is design to take a li5le water into the floor pocket for extra stability. When done fishing, allow the extra water to drain. 2. Release the fins. 3. Deflate board. 4. Make the first fold right at the edge of the fin bases. 5. Make a crease in- between the back fin base and the front two fin bases and FOLD THE BASES ONTO THE PVC. Folding this way will protect the deck pad from damage that could be caused by the fin bases. 6. ConLnue rolling. 7. Place in bag.
Transporting To avoid excessive wear and extend the life of this SUP we recommend transporlng it in a bag. Do not load other equipment, parlcularly heavy or sharp objects on top of the SUP. If you transport your board in an open truck bed please make sure all sharp objects are removed since more boards are damaged in transport than on the water. **VALVE CAPS SHOULD ALWAYS BE IN PLACE WHENEVER TRANSPORTING YOUR BOARD.** Cleaning and Maintenance Your inflatable board is constructed with high quality materials and superior workmanship. However, as with all outdoor equipment, proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the use of the product and allow it to perform be5er. Most damaging to your inflatable board are extended UV exposure, insect repellents, plus mold and mildew. To keep your board performing its best, please following these simple instruclons: Do not set your board on sharp objects. Do not over inflate your board. Keep the zippers clean. Clean the board with soap and water only. Allow the board to drain properly so it can be stored dry. Repair Tips Prior to opening the board s zippers, make sure they are clean and clear of any debris so that they will operate freely, by cleaning the zippers with soapy water and an old toothbrush. ALWAYS secure the zipper cars with the split ring. When patching the airecell, apply the patch to the outside of the airecell. When patching the PVC shell, apply the patch on the inside of the PVC. The airecell patch is for air retenlon. The PVC shell patch protects the airecell patch as well as prevents the hole from tearing further. Basic Trouble Shooting 1. Valve does not retain air when pump is removed. Make sure that the valve stem is in the up and closed posilon. Clear any debris that might be prevenlng the valve from sealing. This can be accomplished by either pumping quick bursts of air into the valve or removing the core valve assembly and cleaning the edge of the rubber diaphragm with a co5on swab and denatured alcohol. Make sure that the core valve assembly is Lght. Tighten valve if necessary. 2. Tube becomes soq aqer inflalon process. Determine which air chamber is soq. Make sure the valve is funcloning correctly, with no signs of leaking. Find the hole in the AIREcell and patch with the Tear Aid patch. 3. Tube is puckered or shows a void when inflated. The AIREcell might be misaligned. Deflate the tube(s) and as they are brought back up to pressure, manipulate the tube(s) to free the AIREcell as it inflates. If this does not fix the problem, deflate the board, open the zipper and adjust the AIREcell. 4. Zipper is difficult to operate. Use a combinalon of soap, water and an old toothbrush to clean and clear the zipper of debris. 5. Tear Aid patch does not slck to AIREcell. Make sure the area to be patched is dry and clean. Use the alcohol pad to prep the area.
Adhesive Patch Repair Towel Type A Adhesive Patch Alcohol Prep Pad Tear Aid InstrucLon Sheet For most repairs, the airecell does not need to be removed completely. 1. Locate the hole in the board and access that area of the airecell and outer skin by opening the zipper. 2. Using a towel, dry the area to be worked on. 3. Clean area to be worked on with alcohol prep pad and let the area air dry. 4. Peel backing paper off Type A Adhesive Patch and apply patch over punctured area. (See Tear Aid instruclon sheet for more details.) 5. Press and rub patch so that the patch seals completely and is without bubbles.
