Day 1 Saturday September 22nd Leg 1 Team Run 2.7kms The ultimate adventure weekend starts in the old Ironman Triathlon finish chute at Main Forster. A thick swarm of adventure-seeking die-hards will run along the short coastal trail before scampering down an enormous sand dune and onto One Mile. Leg 2 2XU Swim 1.9kms, Run 500 mtrs, Swim 500 mtrs Diving in to the ocean at the bottom of the sand dune, swimmers will round Bennetts Head then in true adventure race style, come ashore at The Tanks and run 500m to Pebbly before diving back into the ocean, destination Main. Barbies Rd Day 1 Leg 3 - Paddle 17kms Launching Main you'll paddle back around Bennetts Head and continue South past some spectacular hidden beaches, around Cape Hawk and Booti Booti National Park to surf into Nine Mile and the beach landing. T2 Main Bennetts Head Cape Hawke Santa Barbara T3
Day 1 Leg 4 - Mountain Bike 15kms T3 Santa Barbara After crossing that dreaded Ironman bitumen, your bike journey takes you into parts unknown. Following the single track trails that skirt Wallis Lake, you'll grind up Yarric Mountain, then bare your fangs for the sweeping descent to Cellito and Sandbar. Tiona Park Elizabeth Pacific Palms Private Lands The ride over Yarric Mt is not to be ridden outside the event. This area is private property and only able to be used on race day. Day 1 Leg 5 - Keen Run 11kms (includes Lake Crossing 500m) You ll dash around the edge of Smiths Lake before crossing the water adventure style. A climb through the secluded Myall Lake National Park emerges at adventure racing s most beautiful finish line - white sand, blue waters, giant goannas - Neranie! Day 2 and Anaconda Half Sunday Leg 1 2XU Swim 2kms With heart racing and legs aching, you ll warm up the engine with a splash and dash at Seal Rocks. The swim course skirts the headland, passing spectacular rocky outcrops on the way to Boat. Leg 2 Keen Coastal and Trail Run 16kms From the beach, you ll pound up to Sugar Loaf Lighthouse, race along the coast s best surf beaches and disappear into the Myall Lake National Park. Finishing with a punchy little climb through tall timber forest (check the view!) the run finishes in the roadside village of Bungwahl. Barbies Rd Day 2 Leg 3 Mountain Bike 29kms It s all about climbing reserves and descending nerves. A non-technical course takes you north through rugged bush land, over a scenic plateau and down flowing trails that end at the Coomba Reedy Creek Rd Coomba Park T3 Private Lands Not to be ridden outside the event. Please do not jeopardise the event by entering this area. Turn right into Burraneer then left into Coomba Rd as the alternate route. Day 2 Leg 4 Paddle 13kms With Forster in your sights, you ll paddle east between Wallis Island and Yahoo Island to then turn north and wind between oyster beds and flocks of Pelicans out enjoying the sunshine. The course then takes competitors through Breckenridge Canal right through Forster and then across to Tuncurry and the cheers of your waiting team mates for the Team Run.
Day 2 Leg 5 Team Run 3kms Your two-day adventure weekend culminates with a 3km run over the famous Forster / Tuncurry bridge, then rounding the coast you ll hear the applause and the festivities ringing in your ears and finish where it all began Main Forster.
