SIGN IN The website times will be indicative only, please report to Mitchell Park on respective age group day/s of play at 8:30 am or 30 minutes before draw time/s. Parents / Guardians there can be a lot of waiting around between matches, so please do not leave Mitchell Park with players unless you have cleared this with the Tournament Officials first thank you. TOURNAMENT INFORMATION The tournament is open to all members of Clubs, Associations and Schools that are affiliated to NZ Tennis. The tournament will be conducted under the International Rules of Tennis, the Rules and Regulations and the Code of Conduct of New Zealand Tennis Inc. The New Zealand Tennis Inc Code of Conduct will be posted at the Tournament venue and will be strictly adhered to. It is expected that all players and parents will participate with discipline, honesty and fair play. Appropriate action can, and will be, used by the Tournament Officials under the International Rules of Tennis if needed. All players must wear approved tennis clothes and non-marking shoes. All Players will report to the HVT Tournament Office upstairs at the time of 8:30am or 30 minutes before draw time/s. The court surface is Astroturf and the official ball is Tecnifibre. Play will commence at 9:00am each day unless otherwise stated. All singles Main Draw matches, except the 10 s, will be the best of three tie breaker sets. All doubles Main Draw matches, except the 10 s, will be the best of two tie breaker sets with no ad deuces and a third set super tie break decider. All 10 s singles & doubles Main Draw matches will be the best of 17 games with a tie breaker at 8 all. All Consolation Draw matches, except the 10 s, will be the best of two tie breaker sets with no ad deuces and a third set super tie break decider. All 10 s Consolation Draw matches will be the best of 17 games with a tie breaker at 8 all. Tournament Officials reserve the right to alter the match format/s should circumstances dictate. The warm up period shall not exceed five minutes. All match results will be uploaded to Tennis NZ s Configure Rankings grading system. All players must be prepared to umpire. The Umpire s decision on a point of fact shall be final. Parents, Coaches and spectators must not communicate with the players or be on the courts during matches. Certificates for Winners & Runners-up, together with vouchers redeemable at the HVT Pro-Shop, will be awarded. Tournament Officials reserve the right to restrict entries, alter, combine or cancel any grades that have less than 12 entries. Weather permitting the tournament will consist of: Main Draw Singles and Doubles with Feed-in to Consolation Draw. Entries must be accompanied with payment of the correct entry fee for the relevant age group/s. Late entries may be accepted but a $5.00 late penalty fee will apply. Entry fee refunds for players withdrawing from a tournament must be received in writing and will be processed based on the following sliding scale: (a) All medically or non-medically supported withdrawals made before the entry deadline of 16th December will be issued with a full refund of their entry fee. (b) Any medically supported withdrawals after 16 th December will be issued a refund of 90% of their entry fee. (c) Any non-medical withdrawals after 16 th December will be issued a refund of 75% of their entry fee. Cheques are payable to Hutt Valley Tennis and must be received by entry deadline of 5.00pm on Sun 16th th December 2018.
