I still hold out hope that spring and eventually summer will get here. In that spirit, it is time to turn on the water, open the bath house, open the boats and start to get things ready for another boating season. As always spring clean-up and various repair and maintenance projects will be addressed during the upcoming work-parties. Come on out and help beautify your Club. It s a great way to get some of your work hours in. This is a Yacht Club so it s not all about the work. We still have some great activities coming up too. Mother s Day is just around the corner. Bring your Mother down to the Clubhouse on May 13 th at 9:30a for breakfast (prepared by the Board and served by the Bridge), check the attached flier for details. CRYC is holding their Ladies Salad Supper on May 16 th, and our bar will open on Fridays. Don t miss the Traveling Pizza Man on Friday, May 18 and, as always, don t miss Marty Burger Night on Friday, May 25 th for great food, big fun. Speaking of big fun, what a great time we had at our Comedy Night. Thank you to everyone involved with the planning and execution of this huge event, especially Al and Julie Dubeansky! Vice Commodore s Comments Dale Cover Al Vlach Not much to report ~ spring is sure taking its good old time getting here. The bar is doing awesome! If you have not checked us out on Friday nights, you still have about a month that it'll still be open. Once work party's start, there are a few things to get done in the Clubhouse, so I will be looking for some help. As always, you can reach me by email at avlach@oh.rr.com or text anytime or call after 4:00pm M-F at 440-487-3536. And thanks again for all your support ~ see you at the bar on Friday nights.

Rear Commodore s Comments Joe Prucey Please don't forget that work parties start on Saturday morning, April 28 th at 8:00a. If you plan to attend and help clean up the Club, please bring leaf blowers, rakes, shovels, gloves or any other tools you think may be needed. I appreciate everyone's help! Still looking for 1 or 2 people to adopt a flowerbed. Please let me know if you may be interested. I can be reached at 440-228-7203 or via e-mail at josephprucey@gmail.com. Fleet Captain s Comments No report. Treasurer s Comments Just a reminder that all payment programs need to be kept current. Entertainment Event Becca Pattie P/C Ray Strumbly Cherise Everall The Traveling Man s Pizza is Friday, May 18. The Pizza Man will once again be on site to make gourmet pizzas. The cost is $15.00 per person and includes all-you-can-eat pizza, salad and dessert. See attached flyer for details. We look forward to seeing you there. Sunshine Report Paula Vlach The Vlach's want to thank everyone for their calls, messages and prayers during the last two months since the assault. Al and Jerad are on the mend. Ms. Sunshine is back on track and appreciates your understanding. Friday, May 25 Marty Burgers This event, hosted by Blue Gavel, kicks off the start of the boating season. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend this traditional LCYC event - you won't be disappointed. See attached flyer. Sunday, May 27 Blessing of the Fleet This official start to the boating season is scheduled for Sunday, May 27 at 2:00 pm. Please meet at the Clubhouse for a short prayer service followed by the blessing of all the boats. A potluck dinner will be held in the pavilion immediately following the blessing. Please bring a dish for 6-8 to share. Memorial Day Weekend Events Saturday, May 26 Last Lift-In Today is the last official lift-in/work party. Hopefully by now all the boats are in the water and everyone is ready to enjoy the summer and have a great boating season. Watch for more details about the Poker/LCR event. Monday, May 28 - USS Cod Our officers will be dressed in their uniforms for this annual ceremony of remembrance. This is a touching event and can be attended by anyone who wishes to go. This event starts at 9:00a near East 9 th. Contact Commodore, Dale Cover for more details.
