The on course bookmaker had written wagers at the time of withdrawal, necessitating deductions of 6 cents the win and place with the greyhounds price of $15. Whilst acknowledging the veterinary report, Stewards were mindful that the greyhound had performed similarly at the Gosford venue previously, coincidentally at the same point of the track, when leaving the racing surface and failing to finish. Stewards therefore invoked GAR 69B(1)(a) for failing to pursue due to injury. As a consequence, SHEZA ZIPPER( 8 ) is required to perform a satisfactory trial prior to re-nomination.
