Transformation SASCOC in support of the SRSA s EPG process signed the MOA with both SRSA and the 5 NFs The MOA articulates Minister s expectations and the undertaking and interventions from the NFs in addressing transformation in the next 5 years SASCOC s role is to assist to oversee, coordinate and give proper implementation and execution of the EPG Pilot Study Report and NFs Undertakings Expectation after the signing of MOA in April 2015 is for NFs to fill in Transformation Barometer annually NFs received communiqué from the secretariat of the EPG to fill in Transformation Barometer in December 2015 NFs are currently capturing the Transformation Barometer and the deadline is March 2016 Information received will be analysed and submitted to the Minister Minister Mbalula shall thereafter host Public Announcements about the analysis of Transformation Barometer per NF SASCOC through the monitoring and evaluation process, met with these NFs to urge them to take the EPG process seriously and assist members to comply 8
NF Updates Cricket CEO of SASCOC met with CEO of CSA Haroon Lorgat for update Followed due process with Gulam Bodi and received cooperation from him in the investigation Common knowledge of action taken by CSA against him Investigation on going and Gulam Bodi is cooperating into looking at other suspicious cases NF Updates Karate SA Board has agreed to allow full contact karate to be also a member of SASCOC while the two structures need to resolve issues and become one structure within a year. If this is not met, KSA and full contact will be deregistered as members of SASCOC Mind Sport Currently suspended from SASCOC Secretary General stumbling block will not allow us to meet with the President and Executive 9
NF Updates Board resolved that we check membership with sports confederations in the province Have membership only in: Eastern Cape Therefore do not satifsy minimum requirements to be considered a National Federation NF Updates Rugby We have engaged with SARU on this issue SARU is currently dealing with the issue internally We await the outcome of the SARU investigation We also await the outcome of the court hearing on the matter between the institution and the SARU CEO We have appealed to SARU not to play this out in the media space. 10
